My husband and I went here to celebrate my 60th birthday. Everything about the Valencia was top-notch. The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The entire staff was nothing but courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is close to everything you need and if you need help with directions any one of the staff is willing to help. Valet parking was a breeze and it was very nice having a restaurant/bar in the hotel. This is a hotel I definitely plan to visit again.

2nd time stayed there while on business. It is walking distance to my office site location and to many excellent local mexican food eateries, the Alamo, and 2 beautify Catholic Churches (St. Marys and St. Fernando Cathedral) with daily Mass. Rooms have a Tex/Spanish design, very attracive, very clean and quiet. Spacious desk and comfortable bathroom. Only thing I miss is they used to have a breakfast buffett, but no longer. Breakfast now in restaurant a la carte, can be pricey. Staff very courteous. Look forward to my next stay!

Hubby and I sprung for a suite with Juliette balcony overlooking the River Walk and since it was great location for access to the main section of the River Walk without all of the foot traffic, we really enjoyed that aspect. The street level entrance and lobby were just beautiful. Offered us complimentary margaritas upon arrival and musician with guitar playing Spanish-style music was just lovely. Our room was large and nicely appointed with mini bar, safe, coffee maker, etc. Drinks at the bar were good, the atmosphere and the music in the lobby were the best parts. The one downside to this hotel was the food which I would say was average at best. Ordered room service and wasn't impressed. Ordered food at the bar and it was ok...I ate it because I was hungry. And ate breakfast in restaurant, hubby asked for an omelet and even though they had egg options, there was no option to get an omelet which for the cost of this hotel, they should be willing to accommodate the customer and the waitress told us she's asked before, but they won't. Overall, I would stay here again, just would likely make plans to eat elsewhere unless they get a new chef.
