This was our second stay. We enjoyed our first stay in one of the poolside rooms, so engaged poolside this time too. This room even better with walkout to a patio. It was Dec 30 and cold so not usable but still enjoyed the visual space. We had our 9 yr old grandson with us and he enjoyed it too....

Ask for the managers special rate. Very cool hotel. Built in 1962 it has that time period style and décor. Rooms very nice and up to date w/ flat screen TVs. On site Tiki bar is nice, and the full breakfast was excellent. Lobby has a bird cage w/ some chatty lories and a large atrium with turtle, toucan... Pool...

Staying a week not just a night. Off the main river part which was fine. It is not a far walk. Hotel front desk people were great and friendly. Valet misplaced our car keys the first night. 15 mins later we had that figured out. Fourth floor smelled like vomit at the elevators. First room had mildew in the shower...

This is quite an old hotel, the rooms are a bit small, as well as the bathroom. But it's nice & cosy and is just along the Riverwalk & across the Tobin Centre. There is a good place to have breakfast watching the Riverwalk in the morning. Overall good.

Let's start with the lobby. Super cool 60's Acapulco/Tropical decor, complete with recessed theatre lighting overhead and a Tiki Bar! I half expected a young Doris Day and Rock Hudson to come scampering through. Rooms are comfortable (nuclear-powerful a/c) but hallways desperately need refurbing. Staff is unflaggingly friendly. Location is right across from the Tobin Performing Arts Center, so perfect...

While staying at this hotel there was a wedding going on which I consider means for celebration. Yet, I ran into the main security officer on multiple occasions and was polite and tried to start conversations and he ignored me and gave me dirty looks. He later came snd threatened to kick us out regardless of the people in the...

This hotel was awesome! It's like taking a time machine back to the 80's. Very retro but comfortably so. It's huge, they have some river view rooms. I believe every room has a patio which is really cool because most modern hotels don't. They had a huge outdoor parking lot as well as some garage parking but we really needed...

The hotel is a bit of a hike from the convention center and the desk chairs and curtains need an update, but that was more than made up for by the cheerful and helpful staff. When I couldn't access the wifi, they were beyond accommodating in moving me to another room. On my first night, I didn't feel adventurous enough...

Very nice hotel not great but very enjoyable. Wife and I were in the area and did a Hot Wire search for hotels near the River Walk and chose this one. It was a 15 min walk to the main area of River Walk and 10 min to the Alamo. The hotel has a Miami / South Beach theme. The...

This is not your typical cookie cutter hotel that seems to be the norm today. It is a throw back to the sixties when it was built, but in a good way. The service was very friendly. Good fitness room. As mentioned by others the River Walk is across the street. The lobby is quite nice and seems to be...
