Not greeted as a rewards member and no breakfast was served my family did not liked that and also as a covid precaution some more bars of soap should be put in all rooms to practice good hygiene as a guest we should not have to ask for them
I highly recommend Travelodge as the best extended stay location. Travelodge is close to the airport, downtown, Walmart, HEB, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Northeast Baptist Hospital, Emergency Clinics all types of stores. Travelodge later very easy to find, access and get to all areas of San Antonio. The only negative is their internet is just average. It needs to be improved but it is adequate for normal business use. Zoom conferences are tough.
The night staff check-in Cheyenne was very friendly. But the day staff, who seen to be the owners are not. They are bossy and don't use nice words like welcome, please, and thank you. My room was noisy. I couldn't sleep well here. Curtains do bot block out the bright lights from outside at night. Noisy everything.
Where to begin? Upon check in I was told there was no housekeeping except for every 3 days. No breakfast either. If there was WiFi, I was never given any info about how to access it. The room had missing light bulbs. It was dirty - walls, floors, front door, bathtub, stove had burned food under all the burners. The fridge barely worked. Took all night to cool down a few drinks at full power. The A/C barely kept the bedroom cool. After 2 days of having only half the room area cool I found the intake filters were clogged with dirt from no maintenance. I removed them entirely and put them on the floor. Then it cooled properly. There was no coffee maker, just the fixings. When I reported this and requested a coffee maker, they brought us one. It took 5 activations of the machine's cycle to make a single cup of coffee! What a cheap piece of junk. One of the TVs had its sensor scotch taped to the dresser so it worked from a certain direction. I had to re-tape it to the TV using duct tape to make it work correctly. Pieces of the walls were MISSING. Sections of laminate from some of the furniture were either gone or about to fall off. A drawer was missing from the kitchen. The bathroom sink was next to the TV and kitchenette unit. It didn't have any shelf to put things on nor did it have any light. Have you seen a woman putting on makeup without light or someplace to put her makeup? Ants kept coming out of the walls and getting all over my toothpaste and brush. Ugh! The house phone was dead and didn't work. I am sure I missed some things, but over all this was disgusting at best. The bed was so hard it hurt our backs. Worst stay ever. To add insult to injury, I was told that Wyndham had sent a franchisee inspector out the previous week and he passed the place based on our room! I am seeing a payoff here for sure or the inspection never really took place. Everyone involved with this location should be ashamed of themselves. Their customers deserve MUCH better. I emailed Wyndham corporate a week ago, but no response. You can only blame COVID for just so much these days. To be fair, they did comp me one night's stay, but it was still a terrible experience.…
Peaceful and quite room in a convenient location. Appreciated the mini kitchen. Two TVs and living room separate from the bedroom was a really nice feature. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Plenty of parking and close to the HWY.
