Matt and Kelly were fantastic hosts, the BnB is super cozy and lovely/quiet, they are super knowleadgeable and it is walkable to wherever you want to go in Salem. Highlight for us was definitely spending time with Youkie and Petey, the resident friendly cats. Definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved everything about this place. The shower was a bit small but there was plenty of hot water. The owners are friendly and very helpful in pointing you in a direction. We felt at home and at ease from the moment we arrived! Matt answered all our questions and was full of good information. We had never been to Salem before and came at a very busy time so having a place to park the car and leave it was important. The Inn is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this establishment!

Having wanted to go to Salem for as long as I can remember I had looked into trips several times but never booked. During April of 2019 I looked into a trip again and to my surprise saw 5 days were available at the Stepping Stone Inn in October! The month I would love to go so I booked right away! We went the week before Halloween which I personally think was the best time to go. It wasn't too busy, there were either no or very small queues everywhere and we were able to see everything we wanted too. The Inn itself was beautiful Matt and Kelly were so welcoming and friendly. Matt showed us where all the great sites were and all the best places to eat. Even when we said we were vegetarian he still knew where we could go and we went to one of his suggestions and loved it (a small vegan cafe in the Witch City Mall, the muffins are amazing). The Inn is also in the perfect location and when I say perfect I literally mean PERFECT! It's not too far from Essex Street (less than 5 minute walk) so you can easily get to all the shops and head towards the Witch House, Ropes Mansion, Town Hall etc it's also right next to the Witch Museum and directly opposite Salem Common so for Hocus Pocus fans like myself, staying across from the School in the film was surreal. While we were there we also grabbed an Uber to head just outside of Salem and check out places like Target, Spirit Halloween etc as I wanted to see the famous big American stores that we all see so much on tv. Being where the Inn is it was easy for the Uber to pick us up and drop us off right outside and we didn't have to worry about traffic or closed roads etc as Salem really is great for walking and easy for a Uber or Cab to get to. Breakfast was served every morning from 8:30am until 10am and there was so much to choose from. Croissants, Bagels, Cereal, Yoghurts, Cheeses, Muffins and more! I had a Pumpkin Spice Muffin one morning and it was delicious. The freshly brewed coffee was also fantastic as well. One thing I especially liked was that each time we saw Kelly or Matt while coming in and out of the Inn they always checked to see how we were doing, asked if we needed any help etc. It was really nice to see and really did make us feel so welcome and at home in the Inn. The two cats that also live there were adorable and walking through the door to see one of the cats fast asleep in the hallway really was nice to see. They were so friendly and loved lots of strokes! Our room had everything we needed also and the wifi in the Inn was super fast and easy to access. The bed was extremely comfortable and large and we had access to so many tv channels which was great when we had been walking all day and came back to relax before falling asleep. We were never disturbed while in our room and although the Witch Museum is right next door we never heard anything from there. I know before we left I did wonder if we would hear much outside noise but I honestly cannot recall a single time we heard anything. Salem really was amazing and such a surreal experience from all of the great shops and museums to all the history and sights all around the place. There is definitely a lot to do when you go and we even checked out a few places more than once. I was genuinely sad to leave the Inn and Salem in general and cannot wait to hopefully return sometime in the near future. If you're going to Salem I would definitely say make the Inn your first choice of places to stay because it really was a fantastic place and a wonderful experience that you wouldn't get at a standard hotel. Thank you so much Matt and Kelly for being such wonderful hosts.

I couldn't have picked a better place to stay for my first trip to Salem. Matt and Kelly make you feel right at home from the moment you step through the door plus their two adorable cats helped to stave of my missing my own cats at home. I stayed in the Salem room which was quiet, cozy, and clean. The breakfast provided included fresh croissants, muffins, bagels, cereals, fruit, cheese, juice, and the BEST coffee ever! Just enough to get you going for your day! Matt and Kelly are so kind and check in with you to make sure you are well provided for and ask if you need anything each day. They also give excellent suggestions of all the things to check out in town. I took all of their suggestions for tours and restaurants and never once regretted it! The location of The Stepping Stone Inn is about ideal as you can get. Extremely central to town, it's a couple of minutes walk from most things. You can't go wrong booking this location. I would not hesitate to stay with them again!
