Booked a trip to Salem and knew immediately we wanted to stay in the, what is believed to be haunted, Hawthorne Hotel. Checking in was a breeze and they even had the room available for us hours earlier. Had wanted a room on the 6th floor (for extra spooks) and what do you know we got it! Everything about the... This is a lovely heritage hotel, with a cute vintage look. The rooms are small however we expected that. It has a great location just across from the witch museum, and walking distance to all of the major attractions. I have one complaint - the room temperature. It's mostly set for the entire hotel and the windows are very difficult... More

We stayed here a couple years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. So we booked again on thus visit. We had booked a smaller room but they had a larger room available so they upgraded us. The hotel staff is so helpful. The rooms are lovely, historic, and comfortable. It is located on the heart of everything. Just a great place.

Well located in town and close to many of the sights and points of interest in Salem. It's a classy, older hotel, well modernized, warm and pleasant. Help is good and efficient. Breakfast is extra, but reasonable. Priced reasonably....

Checked in here after a long flight and a fraught drive from the airport. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The room was vast and well appointed. The bathroom was small but had all you need. The bar staff and receptionists were all you could ask for. If I pass this way again will definitely... More

Beds were comfortable and staff was extraordinarily helpful. My only complaint was the lobby decor was quite antiquated, walls were thin and you can hear the person in the next room sneeze(however it's an old building so it's to be expected). I would definitely stay here again! Again, staff was beyond amazing!!! Kudos!

Saw mixed reviews about this hotel, but we loved it. Our room was spacious with a well laid out smallish bathroom. Both served our needs well and were quite comfortable. Our room was a double with 2 queen beds and we also had 2 closets in the room. We had a great view of Washington St and the Witch Museum,... More

We love this hotel. Our room was beautifulely remodeled yet kept its old historic charm. The bed was very comfortable and the room was filled with great amenities. The hotel staff is very friendly from the front desk to the restaurant. If you would rather stay in to dine the restaurant in the hotel is a nice option. Its beautiful.... More

We booked a standard King room with a town view. When we arrived we were assigned room 210. This room is adjacent to the hotel's public restrooms. We requested a different room however the hotel was unable to honor our request and stated that there was no way to guarantee the location of any reservation. Had we been told that... More

Ryan Ostrout saved our trip. We came in from Canada with an Expedia reservation and high expectations, and were told at the front desk that there was a mix up and Expedia hadn't properly reserved the room. We thought that we would be on the streets for the night. While the streets were relatively clean, I am not accustomed to... More
