My wife and I loved our stay at the Amelia Payson House. When I first spoke with Nancy on the phone to book it, her warmth came across instantly. Nancy described everything in such detail, but when we arrived, it was even nicer than I had expected. The place is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The owners, Jim and Nancy, are... More

My husband and I along with my brother and sister inlaw just spent two days at the Amelia Payson B&B. Being a three bedroom inn made us feel as if we were home. Our two bedrooms with full baths with a shared sitting room were upstairs. The sitting room provided with a large TV, a small refrigerator and a coffee... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Amelia Payson House in Salem, Ma. The owners, Nancy and Jim, were wonderful. They were so inviting and friendly. It felt as if you were visiting family for the weekend. Every morning Nancy would cook a delicious breakfast made to order while Jim filled my husband's coffee cup and... More

The minute you walk it there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere to the place. It is very tastefully decorated and immaculate. I stayed in the ground floor room, which is large with a lovely colour scheme. I have to say the double bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Lovely breakfast, you get the feeling that... More

Beautiful b&b conveniently located to Salem sites. Super comfy and spacious bedroom with large, fully appointed bathroom. Perfect for my daughter and I as the room has one twin and one queen. Nancy and Jim, the owners, were super nice and very helpful with restaurant suggestions --just a note that our experience in terms of food in Salem was not... More

We are long-time fans of the Amelia Payson House. We have been coming here for our annual Salem visit for about 10 years now. Much to our delight, the new owners Nancy and Jim have maintained all of the things we always loved about the B&B, and added their own special updates and touches. Nancy has certainly put her own... We have just returned from a 4 day stay at the Amelia Payson House and it was great. It is a nice alternative to the expensive hotels in Boston and is only a 30 minute train ride away. Salem is an interesting and historic town. We have stayed at the Amelia Payson House 2 or 3 times in the past.... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Amelia Payson House B&B immensely. Very beautiful house with a large comfortable room. Plus a sitting room for guests upstairs and downstairs stocked with water, Kurig coffee and snacks. The breakfasts served the two days we visited were phenomenal. A hot breakfast both mornings! And I must mention Tyson, the friendly... More

This was an amazing experience, and I was so thrilled to stumble onto the perfect place to stay in Salem. The house is spotless, perfectly appointed, charming, and super-convenient. The location is close to everything, the innkeepers are charming and professional, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. This is now my go-to lodging site for Greater Boston. Thank you...
