Originally founded in the 1950's as a working cattle ranch, the Rincon Creek Ranch was purchased in 2010 by Bill and Gretchen Shirley who spent the next four years transforming it into a spectacular, luxurious, guest ranch. Consisting of 78 acres bordering Saguaro National Park, the ranch has seven, fully equipped guest casitas each with full kitchens, lavish bathrooms, comfy bedrooms, laundry, fireplaces, and sitting porches. The multi-purpose building, Luella-Boomer Hall, constructed to look like an old mission, has a kitchen, bathrooms, massage and exercise rooms, Wi-Fi, Direct TV, library, and a 1200sf great room. With horseback riding, jeep tours, hiking, and golf only minutes away, guests can customize their stay, engaging only in activities of interest, and the availability of in casita dining accommodates any dietary restriction or budget. The breathtaking views and consummate privacy make Rincon Creek Ranch the perfect place for romantic getaways, family reunions, and corporate retreats.

We stayed at Rincon Creek Ranch while in town for the Cologuard Classic last week. To say the ranch was spectacular would be an understatement. Bill and Gretchen have done such an amazing job with the ranch. Aside from the stunning scenery outside, and being right next to the Saguaro National Park, the casita had everything you could possibly need. Bill and Gretchen were so thoughtful in every single detail. We truly enjoyed every second we were there. We hiked, roamed the property some, enjoyed quiet mornings having coffee on the patio. It was peaceful and quiet and the absolute perfect retreat. I hope we find our way back to Rincon Ranch some day soon!

High quality accommodations with full kitchens on the doorstep of the Saguaro National Park. Great for hiking into the park or to spend quiet time in a spectacular, pristine desert environment. Amazing Arizona sunsets. Perfect dark sky location for astronomy! Bill and Gretchen are lovely hosts who provide farm fresh eggs and whole bean coffee.

This ranch is fabulous and unique. We stayed four nights in the beautifully equipped El Ranchito casita. There was even a basket of a dozen eggs in the refrigerator from their chickens. We had a beautiful view of the saguaro cactus and engaging visits by many beautiful birds. What kept running through my mind was that it is a magical place, a sanctuary of sorts with very nice hiking trails, and two very kind hosts. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while there and definitely plan to return in a year.

J&B, Thank you for your kind words and compliments. And, thank you for choosing Rincon Creek Ranch to celebrate your Anniversary! We really enjoyed chatting with you during your stay, and are happy you were able to enjoy a fine dining experience at Vivace. Tucson is very fortunate to have so many truly fine restaurants. We also glad you enjoyed the casita amenities, and were able to just sit back and take in the spectacular views of Saguaro National Park. We look forward to seeing you again. Best Wishes, ~Bill & Gretchen

Rincon Creek Ranch was a perfect escape from the pandemic. The natural surroundings were beautiful...sunrises/sunsets in the desert, saguaros, and hiking trails accessible from our front door. Our casita was first-rate; there were so many personal touches...fireplace, bath with candles/bath salts, snacks, rocking chairs on porch, and more. The owners, Bill and Gretchen were very gracious hosts, always willing to answer questions and make suggestions. Rincon Creek Ranch is a 5 star retreat.

Waldoabq, Thank you for your kind words and compliments. We can't express how wonderful it is to hear that our efforts were successful and appreciated. Our goal has always been to provide everything one would want from home, but in a new and spectacular setting. Its what we would want when we travel, and its what we try our best to provide to our guests. And, we are just truly fortunate to have a location that provides spectacular natural scenery and abundant opportunities for Birding and Hiking. Guests can kick back and relax with a cocktail on the porch, explore the property, or hit the trails, then cozy up in a champagne spa tub or enjoy a real wood fire snuggled up in plush bath robes. We're so glad you stayed with us! Best Wishes and Happy Traveling, ~Bill & Gretchen

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Rincon Creek Ranch last week! The room is immaculately clean and the owners provide a plethora of information (i.e. close by restaurants, close by activities, etc) The sunsets and sunrises are a joy to view! We will definitely be back again! If you want a laid back vacation....go to Rincon Creek Ranch!

Sara & D, Thank you for your complimentary and kind review. We're very happy you found the “Cheat Sheets” helpful. After researching so many different interests and requests for guests, several years ago we finally compiled all of the information and put it on the website and in the Casitas. Now the biggest challenge is staying current-particularly difficult with the pandemic. Unfortunately we have lost some real Tucson treasures. Hopefully they will return. Even though your stay was short we are very happy you were able to just relax and enjoy the property amenities, and visit with friends. Thank you so much for your courage to travel, and choosing RCR for your accommodations. ~Bill & Gretchen
