First, this is a super cool hotel filled with tons of charm, quirky decor elements and good amenties. The room was extremely clean and the customers service was excellent. However, I was disappointed that this pet-friendly hotel had such a small pet area which was right near a busy road. The rooms are extremely small with very little counter space for store your belongings. Also, the wall AC unit was noisy and it did not do a good job of removing the moisture from the air, so sleeping was difficult. It pains to me criticize this cute and unique property, but it is the convenience details that county for a traveler, so lack of space, no trash containers near the rooms, poor ventilation and only average television channel choices prevented me from giving this property five stars.
This completely renovated “Motor Court “is a real gym! From the moment I drove onto the property to the moment I left, the vibe was welcoming and super friendly. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and motels and felt right at home immediately. The artwork on the walls is enchanting, and the rooms were very comfortable. They had music tonight I was there, and I enjoyed it so much that I chose not to go out to eat and instead enjoy some of the great tamales that were delivered earlier that afternoon while I checked in. This place is super friendly and if you’re in a bad mood from traveling all day they will turn it around in an instant. They have a great little workout room as well as laundry facilities. Not to mention, the wine bar. Great place to chill. The oatmeal bar that they offer for breakfast is absolutely awesome . Not to mention, they also have pop tarts! The bottom line. If I’m in Tucson this is where I’m going to stay.…
My second time to stay here... I love it! Fabulous artwork on building exterior! Very comfortable rooms & beds. Great bath & shower! Free beer or wine at check-in and nice breakfast selections. Loved the pool on our 100+° day. Will definitely stay here again on next trip thru Tucson.
We greatly appreciate another fantastic stay at Hotel McCoy. The staff is very helpful, kind and professional. Each time we stay we find the rooms to be extremely clean and very comfortable. I always recommend to family and friends traveling through Tucson to make sure and stay at least a night at Hotel McCoy to enjoy a unique hotel experience. Thank you, Teresa
Easily located, check-in was efficient and informative, room is comfortable, decor is different and some would consider quirky. Air-conditioning is quite loud, bed very comfortable, staff happy to chat, car parking right in front of motel unit so no lugging suitcases through elevators or up/down stairs. Very clean, complimentary beverage on arrival and breakfast included in the rate. Well worth a stay!
The hotel rooms were very clean and staff was friendly and professional. Everything is about 25 minutes away from the hotel which makes it convenient. Pool is nice!! Complimentary coffee and water. Also, adults get a complimentary drink token upon arrival.
This is a classic 50s motel updated and given cutesy touches. The staff was always helpful and I enjoyed the ambience (being a child of the 50s myself). There is nothing, repeat nothing within walking distance, so driving or taxi/Uber is the only way to get anywhere. I had a kitchenette on the far side from the interstate so it was reasonably quiet. The motel went a little far in its pandemic regime, since there were no microwavable cups or silverware in the kitchenette, and amazingly not even a coffeemaker. I brought my own. The two main reasons I would not stay there again were the bed and the lack of a comfortable chair. Who wants to sit in a hard sheet metal chair in a motel room? The bed is one of those foam slabs on a plywood base types, and woke me up at 3 every morning with a backache. I did not ask the motel to change it since even another piece of wood under the bed would not have changed anything. Also, the back window was frosted over but had no curtain, so it was very bright early in the morning. If these gaffes are fixed, this place has the makings of a great motel.…
This was the first stop on a road trip. Loved this hotel. Clean, comfortable and close to everything. The breakfast oatmeal bar was wonderful. This staff was always helpful and smiling when I went into the office area. Would stay here again if in the area.
Not kid friendly but comfortable rooms. The breakfast bar folks refused to give my very polite 12 year old granddaughter a pop tart telling her she had to wait the adults even though she had been there first and waiting for 10 minutes. They were dismissive and rude to her. No gluten free options at breakfast bar.
Where can I start? Welcome! That’s a good place … very welcoming for sure. Cute, funky, relaxed, easy going vibe. A motel with cool upgrades. Super quiet night’s sleep even though, yes, it is close to the highway. Loved the pop tart / oatmeal with an abundance of toppings for breakfast. Nice pool and sitting area, too. Would most definitely stay again if in the area. Very pleased!
