Hotel's Favorite
We spent three nights at the El Conquistador and couldn't have been happier. The resort is gorgeous and very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and full of all types of desert plants and wildlife. The pools (of which there are four) are great, especially the adults-only pool. Service was top-notch. We had a mechanical problem with our shower, I called the front desk and maintenance was there within ten minutes to fix the problem. It was fixed minutes later. How amazing! We upgraded to one of the junior suites and the space doesn't disappoint, large living area with a variety of chairs and a couch. Food at the resort was also very good we had breakfast every morning and dinner one night. All delicious with excellent service. The cheesecake at Epazote was particularly delicious! Diamonds and Golds, note that you are entitled to a continental breakfast every morning but can get a hot plate for a $5 up-charge. While this is completely fair and meets the elite benefit, it isn't as generous as some other resorts. Spa is also lovely, we had great massages one afternoon and really enjoyed the spa's private pool. Do note that a 20% "service fee" is manditory but as a guest of the hotel, you will get 10% off of the service itself. Overall this is an excellent resort and offers all of the amenities and service that you would expect all located just minutes from the beautiful Sonoran desert.

We booked our wedding block here and it was absolutely amazing! From the beginning, Danae, Gus, and Elicia on the sales team were attentive and helpful. They assisted most of our guests directly with any booking questions or upgrade requests that came up in the lead up to the wedding weekend and were incredibly accommodating with last-minute changes when I snowstorm stranded many of our guests in the Northeast delaying their arrival. During our stay, our room was upgraded to a Casita so we had our own little space away from the rest of the resort and had a place to host friends and family as they came in. Lisa, Ilana, and Venebles at the front desk were kind and made booking dinners, brunches, golf, bikes, and time at the bar incredibly easy. We were able to host so many more or less impromptu mini-events that my wife and I got to spend a lot of added time with our wedding guests that we otherwise would not have been able to. In addition to the front desk and sales staff, we had great experiences with other staff members throughout the on site restaurants, bars, and pools. Joey, the bartender at the Epazote, made us feel so special when, upon learning we were staying there for our wedding, offered us a free glass of champagne and walked us through his favorite dishes on the menus. It was a wonderful welcome. Similarly Joey at the pool was great to us. Whenever we were down there he would help us with drinks, open up the water slide, or pass us waters while we enjoyed the hot tub. I cannot emphasize enough how great the service staff was. Every part of the stay was memorable and we are already planning a return trip out.

We had a fabulous time. Our trip was short and we wished we could stay longer. Everyone we encountered during our stay was the friendliest. The service out by the pool was excellent. Cassie gave me a card but there were others working that were equally as good and waited on us. From getting towels, waters, going on side, food arrive and drinks, the staff was attentive. I also think that the prices weren’t crazy and appreciated that I could tip and they didn’t add gratuity. The barista in the Starbucks (younger lady) was also very friendly. We had breakfast in the Sundance cafe and was just ok. And dealt with slightly slow service. The grounds were well manicured, nicely lit at night and didn’t feel too spread out I read all the reviews about the rooms but I we had 0 complaints. Excellent room, lots of space, clean and fresh. We enjoyed our hike near by at the Linda Vista loop. It is a moderate hike so be aware but is fun. Also the pool water was the perfect temperature, loved the hot tub and nearby cool plunge. We will be back. Thank you everyone at the El Conquistador!
