Stayed at the Omni Tucson National resort for a guys golf trip this weekend. Got a call from the hotel manager the day before check in that they were in an over-sold situation for the first night of our trip, and unfortunately we’d need to stay at a sister property for that night. While we were all very disappointed, Robert did everything in his power to make the rest of our time at the hotel very enjoyable. They even went the extra mile and managed the baggage transfer between the hotels for us while we were golfing. The hotel property was awesome for what we were needing. We played both of the courses which were in excellent shape, and decently challenging. Having them on property made everything much simpler. Rooms were large, and the pool was a great hangout spot after a day on the course. All of us had a great time, and agreed that despite the rough start, we would all stay at the Omni again.

Stayed at the Omni Tucson in February for along weekend golf getaway. Great location and a great resort. Legends Bar and Grill had excellent food and service. We will return for a longer visit in the future.

We recently stayed at the Omni National Resort in Tucson and had a moderately pleasant experience. The front desk reception was not friendly or welcoming which probably got our stay off on the wrong foot. All other hotel staff, including housekeeping, pool bar and attendants, and restaurant wait staff, were very friendly, welcoming, attentive and accommodating. The restaurant available for breakfast was The Table located in Bob’s Steakhouse and the meals we had there were excellent. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the basic eggs with protein breakfast and both were wonderful. We also had appetizers in the Legends Bar and Grill and very much enjoyed the food, drinks, and experience there as well. The room was very large. I enjoyed the deep soaking tub and the lovely bathroom amenities. We also enjoyed our patio. The bed and mattress seemed old and overall the room appeared to worn and old and not very clean. The grounds could use some better upkeep and cleaning. The pool was very nice but it was quiet and did not have a very upbeat or fun atmosphere. The pool area could have also used some better cleaning and attendance. We were supposed to have a guaranteed late check out of 4 pm because we used the Amex Platinum Hotel Collection to book our room, however when I called to request a late check out the front desk was very reluctant to grant the request and would only agree to a 2 pm check out. Again, very disappointed with the level of hospitality from the front desk reception. Also through the Hotel Collection we were supposed to have been given a room upgrade upon availability, and despite the resort being very empty, I am pretty sure we were not given a room upgrade. Our stay was moderately enjoyable but I do not think we will return to the Omni in Tucson. The Loews at Ventana Canyon is a far superior resort for often the same rate and sometimes even less.

We decided to give this property a try after our initial plans for Tucson fell through due to a scheduling hiccup. I wanted to see firsthand if the negative reviews were warranted, and I am pleased to say that in our experience, they are not. When we checked in we were assigned to a pool view room. We asked for a quieter location, and Chris, the bellman, was able to suggest a room with a golf course view that was quiet and in a convenient location. Chris also assisted us with our luggage and told us a bit more about the resort amenities. He was very helpful and nice! The room was huge, very clean, and the golf course view was peaceful. I loved the huge soaking tub. We strolled the grounds, had a drink at the pool bar, and I made a spa appointment for the next morning. We were able to secure a last minute dinner reservation at Bob's with a beautiful view from the terrace. We returned to Bob's for breakfast. I had a relaxing massage, though I will say the spa is not terribly posh. The waiting area is more like a doctor's office than a spa, so I wouldn't choose to spend extra time there. There is only one pool, and they were rather understaffed so the poolside food & beverage service suffered. This was on a Sunday as opposed to midweek, so they would have benefitted from additional staff. Overall our stay was pleasant. We would not hesitate to return to this property, keeping in mind that it is not as large and luxurious as other Omni properties.

I enjoyed my staycation here very much. While some reviewers observe that the hotel is old and dated, in general, that was not at all my experience (except for the drapes in the room which may have been from the last century). Fact is - this IS an old hotel and a Tucson landmark. My room and balcony were comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The soaking tub was delightful. My room overlooked the pool (salt water!) which added to my enjoyment. The bed was comfortable as were the chairs, large ottoman, and small sofa. I liked the computer desk. The grounds abound with native plants. I don’t play golf, but I understand that it is an excellent course. Only one of the two pools was open due to Covid restrictions, but it was thoroughly delightful and there was plenty of shade from umbrellas, decent lounge chairs, and some comfortable outdoor upholstered furniture available as well. I did not use the spa or fitness center, so I can’t comment on that. A few negatives in my book, though. First, the hotel is nowhere near ADA compliant. I understand a major upgrade is in the works so hopefully those issues can be addressed. Second, I think it’s ridiculous to charge for self-parking. Third, the hotel was not following the current CDC guidelines for indoor masking. The few times that I actually had to go into the lobby, I was the only person wearing a mask. When I compare that to a recent stay at another local resort where every single staff person and most of the guests I saw indoors were masked - I think that is inexcusable. Finally, the tv selections are heavily skewed to sports of all kind to the detriment of entertainment. Finally, the bed linens were pretty tired. Overall, I think the Omni Tucson is delightful. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to my friends. I look forward to the unveiling of the new and improved resort.

Several issues. Long time Omni patrons. Arrived using one of our free nights. Place understaffed. Room not bad with a golf course view, but no housekeeping service due to Covid. Service is every three nights, undoubtedly due to a cut staff and working the poor housekeepers to death. Housekeeping did not arrive on the third as promised. Came on the 4th at 5pm = useless. Trash piled outside the door for a couple days before being collected. No EV hook ups. Needs to be remedied.

We try to stay in Tucson each year during late winter and spring timeframe. This time was a later than usual stay at our go to hotel - the Omni. The property needs some more staff to keep landscape tamed and pick up trash from customers. The casitas were closed and we were upgraded to the mountain view rooms - a very special surprise. Used my free night and had to make two reservations - one for the free night and another for the add-on nights. This "Omni" system is not user friendly and I would suggest management an easier way to manage free nights with the loyalty program. The Omni Tucson staff - housekeeping, restaurant and lobby staff, maintenance are all very friendly. There are some areas where better scheduling could help - like housekeeping - when our room was never cleaned - even after day 3. The lobby staff went out of their way to manage billing and provide an accomodation. The room, bed, view were excellent. This was our first long term stay at a hotel since Covid began and we felt safe.

Coming from New Mexico after our Guv once again shut down the state(including golf), I was a little hesitant to book this resort after reading some of the negatives. Big mistake. This place exceeded every possible expectation. First the resort then staff, food, and golf. I got one of the casitas next to the pool. I’m guessing 500sf +/-. Nothing could have been better. Really clean with all the amenities and my housekeeper Bashra did all she could during my week to make sure I had everything I needed. Nice option about the pool and spa is it’s open 24/7. I’m an early riser and jumping in the spa at 0500 is not a problem. The staff from grounds crew to the front desk were all friendly and responded to every request. It was a treat to experience real customer care in this day and age. The food options are limited to Legends and Bob’s Steak House. While a little expensive the portions are huge. Plus as a golf package deal I got 20% off. Do not miss a Filet Mignon at Bob’s. Probably one the best of my career. The French toast for breakfast was also exceptional. You won’t need syrup so don’t even ask for it like I did. My only small complaint is lack of snacks/sweets. At one point I was jonesing for a Snickers and had to leave campus to get one. Now the golf. I’m a solid 12 hdcp and have never played a desert course before. You see them on tv with the lush green fairways (over seeded rye) bordered by the brown rough. Both courses Catalina and Sonora were in exceptional condition. The greens, while not overly contoured were incredibly fast probably at least 12+ on Stimp. My first couple of days 3 jacks were the rule. Being in the desert I was surprised with the number of water hazards especially on Catalina. 18 on Catalina has three water hazards in front of you. Maybe the one on the left isn’t in play but I snapped hooked one in it. The 15th par 5 on Sonora goes straight up hill and I mean up. My second shot must’ve rolled back 15 yds or more. The hole is similar to the 15th at Black Mesa in Espanola NM. I have no idea how anyone could find fault with this place. Maybe I had all the stars aligned just right, but I came for the golf and was blown away by the rest.

Our annual visit was again excellent. The rooms are very spacious, very clean, and well supplied with amenities. The staff is first class and professional. Check in process was quick and efficient We are looking forward to our next visit. Another positive note was to see the promotion of Antoine from Bell Captain to Front Desk Customer Service. His personality and efforts are an asset to the Omni.

The rooms were clean and spacious. However, what a disappointment. During our two day stay, even though we paid the $29.00 per day resort fee, we never had internet in our room. The front desk suggested we sit in the lobby to use the internet. At first the excuse was the internet was overloaded. Next the excuse was a power problem to the internet tower. The Legacy grill was a joke.
