Highly recommend this beautiful getaway if traveling to Tuscon. We stayed for four nights to attend a wedding . The venue and food was delicious. The Terrazza restaurant where we ate several times was excellent and the waitresses and hostess at desk were friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping staff were also helpful and responsive to anything needed. Love the gift shop.Gym was clean as well as pool area which were both used during down time one suggestion would be to have cooler A/C but other than that, I would recommend The Hacienda to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation or destination wedding.
What an excellent get-away and hidden gem in Tucson. Wonderful service, accommodations, dining, total relaxation and pampering. Their staff is top notch. The resort is so historic and charming that it hugs you in comfort from check-in to check-out. The views are breathtaking in every direction.
Stayed here as part of an on-property wedding- had the best time! The facilities were lovely- our room had one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on, and having the reception in the courtyard of the property was just gorgeous (and comfortable once the sun went down, even in the September heat). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the food provided by the restaurant for the reception was excellent. We also enjoyed the pools on property and being easy driving distance to Saguaro National park and Mount Lemmon when we wanted to go off property and explore. Overall would stay here again.
We visit Tucson often. Relatives live there and we have wanted to move back for several years. Hacienda Del Sol is by far our favorite place to stay. Unique, gorgeous, wonderfully relaxing. Nothing else compares.
This hotel is very interesting! It is magical at night when many animals from the dessert visit the hotel gardens. We saw a fascinating family of boars; the adults were very protective of their children. The newest rooms are lovely; the beds are excellent, the floors are very nice, the bathrooms are wonderful, the showers are really beautiful. During the pandemia, the hotel cleaned the rooms every day. The area is quiet. The hotel has some interesting history; Catherine Hepburn used to stay at the Hacienda del Sol. The staff is clueless. The restaurant offers poor quality food, nothing delicate. Room service is very slow and deficient. The waiters do not have idea on how to provide good service. The hotel charged my credit card with 360 dollars; there was no explanation for this charge. I contacted the front desk and although there was no explanation for this charge, there was no interest in making corrections. I had to contact my credit card and the credit card took care of this problem.…
We booked a suite in the historic area. The grounds are magnificent and the room size was exactlywhat we wanted. The historic charm was tempered by old plumbing. Both bathroom sinks were not working properly. Fortunately the maintenance staff repaired them timely. Unfortunately the housekeeping staff did not service our room after the first night. We had guests join us after a long day afield. That was embarrassing. I would definitely stay here again. The outdoor restaurant was excellent for our party of 7. The common areas are landscaped beautifully in desertscaping and adorned with sculpture.
Exceptional stay. Quiet even with a large wedding party there. Staff is the most friendly, exquisite customer service. The food was consistently delectable and the presentation was beautiful. Mason was the pool server one day, he made us feel like the only guests present. Daniel also made us feel like the only guest present, (restaurant manager). Most relaxing vacation I have ever had. We had a amazing experience at the spa as well. Professional and virtuous staff, great couples massage. Thank you, all of you.
Such a beautiful property covering so much acreage. The architecture is tasteful and subtle and the homage to its history is charming. Everything is in great repair. The real gem is the hospitality offered by each and every staff member. Truly exceptional.
We recently (last week) stayed at this resort and it was basically perfect. The property itself is not too big, not too small, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms felt good-sized too. We also liked that it wasn't a hyper-modern resort, and that it instead retained a little bit of old school charm. The on-site restaurants were wonderful, and they were able to accommodate our not-quite-on-the-menu requests. A great place that my family and I look forward to visiting again soon!
A true gem. Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Gardens and sculptures are beautiful, took many many pictures. Temp was hot but there was a constant breeze. Everyone staying there was smiling 😊
