Most of Rincon Country West RV Resort is really for folks who are living them permanently or seasonally in their park model homes. Only in the far back corner is there really parking for JUST RVs. (Although even that "back corner" is probably home to well over 100 spaces.) So it feels like driving through a miniature suburban subdivision. It's location is in the heart of Tucson, so there's NO feeling of "getting away from it all" by staying here. In fact, your hear planes, helicopters & traffic. It's a city. But for us, spending 5 days exploring the area, it was a fairly central jumping off point for our explorations.

We had a "deluxe" pull-through site, which got us a nice patch of grass, a charcoal grill, a picnic table, good water pressure, clean electricity and a site with two different dump spots. There was cable TV available and wifi, but we just used my Verizon hotspot for streaming some Netflix and that worked great. We were close to our neighbors, but not TOO close. The more "normal" spaces near us would have put you in much closer proximity to your neighbors. For us, it was worth the extra $5 or so per day. (Having said that, the place really is pretty pricey. $70 per day is near the top of what we've paid.)

The place has many amenities, none of which we availed ourselves of. We were really only there in the evenings and for sleeping. But pools, sports courts of all kinds, several nice dog parks, rec center, auditorium, etc. etc. I would think someone longterm would find lots to do.

The security here is pretty stringent, which is nice. We'd certainly stay here again.

This park has it all if you're going to stay there for a bit: pool, crafts, evens, shuffle board, tennis, et al. This is a village of park models for full & part time peeps. Very nice RV spit where we stayed.

I would have given it a 5 but there's two reasons: 1. I walked into the office for a quick question & stood behind a man who got his answer & walked out. The person behind the plastic screen did not acknowledge me but responded to her colleague about something which caused three other women to gather at her desk. Not one person acknowledged me or another couple that had walked in. After a minute I walked out.

2. Their 'summer' hours start on April 15 so the office is closed on Sat & Sun. We ordered something for delivery & it arrived just fine but by the time we got to the office it was closed at 3:00 & the office was closed for two days (Sat & Sun). Fortunately we were not waiting for medication!!!

We had booked a week and ended up having an issue with one of our site utilities. Kim, who had originally checked us in, discussed the issue with Annette and after the repairs were taking longer than expected they moved us to a new site. Kim and Annette went above and beyond to rectify the issue and we ended up staying another week. RINCON West is beautiful, well maintained and has everything one would hop for at an RV resort but it was the kindness of these ladies that made our stay one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Kim even checked on us at our new site to make sure all was going well and visited with us about things to do in the area. We would definitely visit again!

I am spending the winter here (5months), and came specifically to participate in an organized activity. On January15th, they closed that activity indefinitely. I went to the office and politely asked if I could get a pro-rated refund for February and March, since I cannot participate in the activity for which I came to Rincon. The response was “Absolutely not!” If they cannot provide the activities marketed on their site, shouldn’t they be willing to provide a refund? I feel that they are essentially robbing me of $1500. I will never come here again, and suggest that anyone consider other places where rational and considerate customer service is provided.

We took the park shuttle into town. On the park calendar it stated the return time as 3:00, so I planned our outing accordingly. Imagine my surprise when we got on the van & the driver announced that he'd pick us up at 1:00 because he felt that was enough time??????
A couple of us protested but he simply overrode our input by stating belligerently that pick up was at 1:00. Why does the park management allow such a rude driver to override paying passengers & their own calendar time table?
No more shuttles for us!

This is a very large 55+ RV community. The streets are hard surface and the RV lots spacious. The staff is very pleasant and there is every activity imaginable. It is conveniently located on the sw side in Tucson south. Shopping is close and the Saguaro National Park west is close. A wonderful place to stay.

I have stayed here many times and even own a couple park models in the park! This place is exceptional for the activities. If you don't have fun it is your fault. I just got notified that we would not get our booked site but would be offered another site located very far away from our friends. This is not why we were traveling to Tucson. I was told if we were not staying for three months they could not guarantee a specific site. We cancelled the booking and most likely will not return.

Love this park. Quite, clean, friendly, safe, daily food trucks, pool, etc. Easy access to the Loop (trail) and close to many amenities. Came here to visit and left a park model owner and can’t wait to go back. What more could you want?

This is our second visit. We have rented a park model both years. there are lots of activities in the park. pool is large enough to swim lengths. the Santa Cruz Wash is right out the back gate for biking and walking. Stores are a 15 minute walk away. Last year we rented an older unit. This year we rented a new unit. New furniture was clean but cheap. The couch had a dip in the middle only after a month of use. The unit was 2 feet narrower and 2 feet shorter, hence less living space. The TV was mounted on the wall at about 6 feet off the ground. Microwave was mounted too high as well. Blinds on windows did not work. Wifi is advertised in the units but is completely unreliable. This year we had neighbours who liked to have happy hour from 4-8 or 10 at night. they did eventually go to bed but it was distracting. we moved
