We stayed three nights at The big Blue House in Tucson toward the end of October, and it was the perfect base for us to explore the surrounding Arizona area. Located just a couple of minutes from the freeway (I-10), it was easy to find and we were made very welcome on arrival. We stayed in the Hemingway room, which... More

We love the overall atmosphere of this historic inn -- the comfort, the friendly owners, the awesome breakfasts, the big wrap-around porch, and Lazlo, the resident cat. We have stayed here more than once, and have loved it each time; it is our inn of choice in Tucson.

The BBH is in a safe area close to a very good cafe named "epic cafe", the university, restaurants and a part of downtown. You can walk to all these areas. The room we had was amazing. Leah and her Family are trying to help everytime where it is needed. In the evening you can drink a glas of red... More

The room ‘Elegant Deco” was truly unique and enjoyable to stay in. The large wrap around porch provided a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere to sit and chat in the evening. The owner and her son are genuine, warm, and welcoming folks that truly want to do all they can to make your stay a great one!

I stayed at the Big Blue House for over a week, and each day was an incredible experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and I had my own bathroom. Each morning when I went down to the kitchen I was promptly served a delicious meal with a variety of options. The people who work at the Big Blue House... More

I've stayed twice at the Big Blue House because of its proximity to the university area where I come on business. The location is just right--close enough to walk to restaurants and nightlife but far enough to have hassle-free parking and peace and quiet. Each room is unique with its own decor and aesthetic. Your hosts will help you with... More

Leah, Ken, and Lazlow (the porch cat) were awesome hosts. Leah is the best cook west of campus (especially the bacon). Ken let me borrow some tools to put my daughters dorm room together - thank you. Lazlow sat on my lap on the porch. U will not find any nicer folks! The rooms have a lot of history behind... More

If you are a walker this is a nice place to rest your feet. Walk to the University and the various districts including downtown. Many shops and restaurants to explore. Catch the trolley if you get tired of walking. A full breakfast is provided and is quite tasty. Ken the owner is very helpful with tips for the area and... More

We took a few days off to explore Tucson, and we couldn't have chosen a better way to do this than by staying at The Big Blue House. It's centrally located to the Fourth Avenue streetcar, which took us to the wonderful mom and pop stores along Fourth Avenue, together with the beautiful campus of the University of Arizona, and... Great attention to detail and warm furnishings that will make your stay a lovely one. The owners are kind and helpful and every morning you will be greeted with a phenomnal and delicious breakfast. The house is close to everything and the porch is perfect for rocking and roosting in the evening hours.
