Karla at the front desk is amazing. Great people skills that make all the difference. Anyone in the hotel industry could learn from her. She is what *customer service" is all about. Thanks Karla for making a difference and putting smiles on our faces aa soon as we walk in the door.
I'm pretty picky, but have found the rooms to be really clean. I asked for a quiet area and we overlook the pool which has been great. This has been one of the nicest hotel stays I've had in a long while.
The location of the hotel is so-so. Not the best area of Tucson. Plus, the hotel is located at the busy intersection, so there is a lot of traffic noise. Our room was facing the outside, to the street, and it was kinda loud... Another minor issue the electric stove: it's barely working. It took me close to 12 min to fry an egg, as the damn burner just keeps turning off. Or may be I am just way to used to the gas range? I don't know... Also, you can't open the windows. So the rooms feel very stuffy, despite the AC. It's too cold if you put the a/c on, but too hot if you let just the fan working. I don't know... that A/C unit did not work properly. Otherwise, my stay was perfect and very comfortable. Great beds - very, very comfortable. Clean sheets etc. The bathtub to die for! Last time I saw those nice deep tubs was in Europe. Towels, beds, seats, kitchen/fridge - everything was up to par. I would definetely stay here again.…
The overall experience was outstanding. The in-room heaters were insufficient in providing a "warm" environment. An 86 degree setting was barely enough to keep the rooms warm. The cleaning staff were verbally loud in the morning, yelling at one another as they performed their duties.
Resort quality on Red Roof prices. I think the price is low because they are doing construction on the lobby and some other areas. The room was impeccable and nicer than hotels I’ve stayed at for more than twice as much. The location is very convenient and security is excellent. We extended our reservation it was so perfect.
