When we booked our room, we were told we would be on the Concierge Level in a Club Floor Traditional. Special benefits of this room would be lounge access (open 24 hours, 7 days a week), with the following complimentary foods: hot buffet breakfast, midday snack, hors d'oeuvres, light night snack, non-alcoholic beverages, and grab & go snacks all day. What we wound up with was a first floor room, an additional charge for the Concierge Lounge of $25, and a food bill (after 2 days) of $70. When we checked out the supposedly always-open lounge, it was closed and locked. We finally had them delete the $25 off our bill when we became aware we were not getting anything we had been promised. Apparently Sheraton (at least this one) is big into bait-and-switch, which is exactly what happened to us. I spoke to several employees about the situation, and they always had to speak to a manager (Laura) who was supposed to contact us, but never did. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to Tucson Medical Center (my husband had to have a procedure done). If there's ever another time, we won't stay here. These people like to rip you off.

Dear Bali2144, We assure you there was no bait-and -switch here. All the records in our systems show that a regular traditional room was booked. Reviewing the rates that were available for your booking date, it was $126.42 for a traditional room which you were charged; and for a traditional club floor room it was $155.82. The $25 Lounge charge was removed as soon as you reported that you decided not to have access, and the only food charge on your bill is in the amount of $31.68. Unfortunately we are no privy to what you were told when you booked, and we apologize for any misunderstanding. It is our policy to provide our guests with what they are entitled to based on the information that we receive in our systems.

The pool and the hot whirlpool are extremely filled with unseen bacteria! I have a rash, the doctor said is folliculitis, bacteria in the hair skin! And I have the signs for UTI! Even though I didn’t swimm that long and was about 15 minutes in the whirlpool ! Enough time to do the Dammage! I showered afterwards, but didn’t help! Hope the hotel is reading this and do something abouti it! The rooms may be nice but the pool is a disaster ! I’m on antibiotics and had an steroids shot. . . And iches and is painful! 😱

The staff is super friendly. Food at the restaurant was good. My room was good also. The common areas seem a little worn and old. The club level was well worth it (free breakfast and hors d'oeuvres). But beware! 3 older ladies came into the"club" for breakfast. The employee checked the name and room number. The ladies had 2 club level rooms booked under 1 name. They were told that Sheraton policy is only the person who booked the rooms and 1 guest were allowed. Even though they had 2 rooms. So I guess if you booked 4 rooms under 1 name for a family you would still only be allowed 2 in the "club"?

Dear 932edg, Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. I have followed up with our staff regarding the situation that you mentioned in the club lounge. The ladies had two rooms, but only one was eligible for club lounge access, unfortunately this happens whereby a guest makes multiple reservations with only one booked for club access and then invites everyone else. To clarify, if a guest makes multiple reservations under the same name and books all of them with club lounge access, they all get club lounge access; our staff is aware of this. Best regards,
