Again, If you are a gambler, my guess is that you would enjoy staying at such a property. I stayed in the old tower of the hotel in a suite, which was beautiful and bigger than my apartment. However, it took 3 days for someone to explain to me how the faucets in those rooms (old tower) work. So it you wind up in the main tower (same building where reception is, please turn your shower faucet, clockwise, all the way around if you want hot water. I stayed at this property for 10 days, in January. It is cold in Tucson, in January.
Also, upon arrival park your car by the main doors to the hotel and go check in, then park on the guest parking. Otherwise, you'll be in for a long walk, along with your luggage.
If you happen to go out at night from Thursday - Saturday, good luck find a parking spot upon returning to the hotel.
Hotel is nice, clean, and so are the restaurants, but not much to write home about.

We stayed at the hotel July 21 and 22. Golfed with friends the first day.
This was a wonderful short get away. The hotel felt very safe given the concerns about the virus. Every time we entered we had our temperature taken. There were Plexiglas partitions between slot machines and many were roped off to ensure proper social distancing. This casino is huge and they have every variety of slot machine. We noticed many times staff coming over and cleaning s machine after someone left. All in all, it felt cry safe for both of us.
We had a one bedroom suite to sort of celebrate finally getting away. The room was beautiful, very tastefully decorated and again they followed all the safety and cleanliness practices necessary. The first night about 1:00 AM a warning come over the speaker in our room about a problem in the hotel and we had to evacuate. Turned out it was a false alarm. Going down 10 flights in our pajamas was no treat. We talked to management the following day and they comped us for half of the room cost. This felt appropriate and professional.
We ate at the Italian restaurant and the 2nd night at PY Steakhouse where they had a 25$ prime rib special. Both meals were outstanding. Great staff and wonderful food.
This absolutely was a perfect getaway , and we will definitely will be back.

Casino Del Sol has been a popular destination for locals and tourists in Tucson for many years. With its hotel, outdoor amphitheater and large gaming venue which includes a huge bingo hall, it's like a little corner of Las Vegas just outside the city.
There are several restaurants inside the casino proper with something for everyone from fish n' chips, burgers, Asian, Mexican and Italian.

We recently happened upon Bellissimo, the Italian bistro, and it was surprisingly delightful. Though the decor and ambiance in the restaurant is rather plain and simple...lacking any indication of the Italian motif, the food and service is far from it. With a hefty, but not ridiculous menu ranging from appetizers thru dessert there's a bounty of Italian entrees to choose from a pasta medley to lasangne, chicken marsala etc.
For lunch We went with the Eggplant Parmesan and the Meatball sandwich. For starters the medley of Italian olives was plentiful and delicious with 5-6 variety of well marinated olives.
The eggplant parmesan was enough for three meals. The eggplant smothered in cheese and a tangy red sauce, surrounded by pasta was a big hit. The meatball sandwich with three gigantic and savory meatballs surrounded by provolone in the red sauce on a hefty Italian roll was equally tasty and enough for two meals. Surrounded by parmesan fries for an army this "lunch" option could not have been better.
A glass of wine and a Stella accompanied the meal. Water with lemon is presented immediately upon seating.
The full service bar with sports running on the big screens non stop is situated so not to disrupt diners, but easily accessible to the gamblers on the slots/poker floor.
Price is typically casino fare....very reasonable. The service at Bellissimo was attentive and easy going.
Here's a gem inside a well known and managed casino.

Casino Del Sol offers plentiful free parking and valety. There's a small smoking section in the center of the gaming floor.

We read the review on Trip Advisor and called the hotel to ask pertinent questions before making the reservation. We booked 2 luxury rooms on the highest floor. The luxury room had NO bathtub. It had NO hot water in the morning; in fact NO running water from the hot water facet at all. It had NO toilet seat cover. I had only ONE tiny vanity sink. It had an old sagging mattress. It reaked of dust. The carpet was dirty. There is something definitely wrong with the ventilation system as I sneezed a minimum of 40 times the second night. I now have a serious cough and sinus infection. We spoke to the desk the first morning about the water situation and they were to send up maintenance immediately. It never happened as their pumps aren't sufficient to reach the 10th floor. I doubt the casino falls under the juristiction of the health department for the city of Tucson and I'd be curious about how this works. There is also NO security to get to the skyline level. There is no special key. There is no one at the entrance to the elevators at night to even check if one has a key to go up. I have stayed in hotels and motels around the world and this has to be one of the worst experience of them all.

The spa and pools are closed, which is not at all easy to tell by looking at their website. I phoned the spa to book an appointment in advance of our arrival, and though I only go voicemail, there was nothing that indicated the spa wasn't open. Those two features were half the reason we chose this location. The casino was interesting because everyone was wearing a mask, and there was extra security to enforce it, but the machines weren't cleaned between users, so I'm not sure how valuable enforcing masks are when germs are all over hands, etc. The staff were generally fine, but the signage was poor, and staff seemed annoyed to answer questions. For example, the middle bar area was designated as a smoking area, and you could sit at a fully stocked bar that appeared to be open. It wasn't. Staff would come and get drinks from it, but when you went to the bar to order, they would growlingly say that you had to go to another area. I get that it's annoying to get asked the same question over and over again, but maybe that means you should put up a sign! They also require hotel guests to wear cheesy plastic wrist bands so non-guests don't go up into the hotel. It makes it feel like you're at a frat party rather than a resort, because they're cheap and uncomfortable. Also, different staff didn't seem to understand how they worked. One told us the color changed every day, so we could take it off before bed and get a new one with the new color in the morning. Then someone else said it's the same color and shouldn't be removed. Then someone else said we would be charged if we needed to get one replaced more than once during a stay.

Give it a pass until everything is open and business is back to normal.

We recently spent 38 days at the Casino Del Sol brand new RV Park & highly recommend it. We used this location as our home base while my artist husband taught some classes in the area & while he worked on his art & I worked on our business out of our camper. We don’t gamble but enjoyed a wonderful meal at their Fiesta International Buffet and also enjoyed a fabulous free indoor concert.

It is conveniently located & we enjoyed numerous sightseeing trips during our stay. The side street along the Casino & golf course is lined with tiled murals which we enjoyed on our nightly walks.

The inside of the casino is gorgeous, the main area is decorated like an Italian streetscape complete with clouds on a blue sky ceiling. The lighting in this areas resembles twilight which adds to the ambiance.

The campground has round the clock security, so we felt secure. The in ground hot tub has a handicap assist chair. We exhibited at the To Bead True Blue show (part of the Tucson Gem Show) held in the Casino during the final week of our stay. It was really nice to be able to take a break & fix lunch in our camper within walking distance of the casino.

My husband and I finally decided that it was time to get out and try to have some fun. With the heat, outside really wasn’t an option for us. We thought we would give the casino a try. We walked in to find a temperature checkpoint for anyone entering the building and machines spaced. Literally they have spaced every machine, added shields in between machines, taken a ballroom and converted it into a new play area. I have never felt safer! New satellite bars where placed in several areas to ensure you could get drinks without a need to wait in line or socially distancing. You couldn’t help but notice continual cleaning of all machines at all times either. It was fun, we had great service and would highly recommend to anyone!

To start, I was an EXTREMELY loyal patron and have gambled several thousands of dollars at this casino/ hotel and I will no longer be doing so here and I advise you not to as well. My host, Moses, was actually amazing and very accommodating and I hate to leave a poor review because it is not his fault. They do not inform you that you can only bring one guest for the duration of your stay, so if you are here for multiple days and want to spend time with different people in your room they will not allow it. They say it’s for Covid protocol but that is ridiculous as they have thousands of people touching slot machines with MINIMAL sanitation in between. God forbid I have one additional guest in my room for a four day stay while these casino folks pick their noses, rub their eyes and their face and slap the re-bet button on slots without any sanitation in between players. I tried speaking with both the front desk and Hotel Management and they said that is the rules and I would have to cancel and rebook another night if I wanted to bring another guest. If this is how they treat a loyal and repeat customer, This hotel and casino have lost my business. I am extremely disappointed.

Dear vcab1234, We thank you for your review and feedback. I can assure you, we take COVID very seriously which is why we put policies like this into place. We have added Plexiglass in all guest/team areas of interaction and between slot machines. Closed our pools and spa, implemented mandatory mask use and yes, new policies at our Hotel. We have even created a whole new team dedicated to cleaning Slot machines and any highly touched areas. With that said, I do apologize for the inconvenience this caused you and your guests. I have included a link below from our website that goes into more detail regarding our new policies: https://www.casinodelsol.com/your-safety-matters Respectfully, Jacqueline Guest Services Manager Casino Del Sol

Stayed here 4 nights while attending the Bead Show which was held here. My flight arrived in the morning. Took an Uber to the hotel for $20. The hotel had a room available, so they let me check in which I appreciated. The room was spacious and overlooked the pool. There was a view of the mountains and some nice sunsets. The room had a coffee maker, fridge, and safe. Bathroom had a shower only—no tub.

There were several restaurants and snack shops. Service at Moby’s was slow, so just expect that. The zero entry pool was heated and there were 2 hot tubs, fire pits, and large lounge beds. There was a bar by the pool as well. We got a massage at the spa which was a bit pricey and hit or miss. Mine was just ok, but my cousin said hers was great. The casino was a typical casino—very smoky. The Bead Show was held in the ballrooms. There is a golf course next door and amphitheater for concerts. We took a free shuttle to downtown Tucson which took about 20 minutes.

We took an Uber to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum for $20. If you have a car, you can drive to nearby fast food places and stores like Walgreens or Walmart. We took a walk behind the hotel and there were some nice views of the desert, mountains and various cacti.

Housekeeping was helpful when we asked for some lotion. Free WiFi. Elevators were fast. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

I just love this place. It was our 4th time back and each time was great. We stay in the suite on the tenth floor overlooking the pool and it is just wonderful. The housekeeping is fantastic. I even won money this time on the slots! I do not go later in the day or night to the casino because of the smoke ( I have copd) , but that is expected it is a casino! The hotel part is smoke free. We ate at mobys every morning , the food is delicious and inexpensive. We ate at PYs one night--outstanding. The only one place we did not like was UMES , but i am not much of a fan of Chinese food.Their senior discount is very generous. We will be back again next year!
