The Cat Mountain is beautifully decorated with southwestern decor. The courtyard and grounds are lush with desert vegetation. The rooms are colorful and comfortable. It is located near the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park but also a convenient distance from the activities and amenities of Tucson. It is a relaxing and beautiful stay just for itself. The night sky...

The Lodge was conveniently located near the Arizona-Sonoma Desert museum. The furnishings were fun. Deb was very helpful. She was quick to resolve a wifi issue in a super timely manner. The nature trail around the Lodge was a bonus, as was the hot tub under the stars.

We chose this lodge because the Spenser Observatory is in the grounds, where you can pay to have a guided tour of the night sky. Unfortunately the astronomy session had to be cancelled because of cloud cover, but that didn't take away from the charming, friendly, beautifully furnished room we stayed at. The host couldn't have done more to ensure...

We really appreciate your awesome review! We are sad to hear the Star Tour was cancelled due to cloud cover. Unfortunately clouds are the enemy of star gazing. We hope that you have a chance to come back and enjoy the tour you came out for. The owner hand-picks all the decor in each room, so we are happy you...

Cat Mountain was a great location for family reunion while visiting Tuscon. Lovely Southwest decor, large rooms, sunny & colorful. Staff was very helpful. Breakfasts at Coyote Pass were exceptional & included with stay. Did Observatory on site plus Maze & enjoyed the wonderful landscaping. If driving into downtown Tuscon, don't miss taking the incredible scenic drive that also goes...

I found Cat Mountain Lodge on the internet. We drove from Florida to spend a week at Cat Mountain, and our stay was absolutely awesome. This is truly a dessert environment. At 72, with a 30 year military career, it was my most memorable vacation. The scenery is spectacular. Old Tucson movie set, with over 300 western films were made,...

If you are traveling to Tucson for the Desert Museum or the national park, this is a great choice. The small lodge is on the west side of town, in the foothills of the parkland, outside of the bustle that is downtown and the university district to the east. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bright, around a central courtyard....

Superb accommodation with very friendly and helpful housekeepers. The rooms were large and very clean and the breakfasts were excellent. It was central to the Sonora Museum and Tucson Studios. We all had a great time and would stay here again.

We stayed in the old Mexico room. Room was clean and décor was great. Staff was wonderful. Close to old Tucson , wild life compound and animal park. You can view night sky and hot tub right on property. Excellent café with free breakfast or lunch. How could you go wrong.

The place is cozy and restful. I enjoyed a nature walk every morning and evening, and the cafe has delicious breakfasts. My room was spotless-clean and the managers are so friendly I felt like I was staying with long-time friends. Really enjoyed it.

I am into astronomy, and as a beginner, I wanted to stay in the 'dark sky' region east of Tucson and do some star watching & exploring. I found a B & B that allowed me to do both! Situated in the Sonoran desert near Tucson, the Desert Museum and Kitts Peak observatory CAT MOUNTAIN is way more than I...
