Fourth time coming with a group of old college friends for a four day golf trip. Staff is amazing from beginning to end. Rooms are clean, large and beautiful. Staff is super friendly and efficient, food is good gold course(s) in great shape and golf staff is very friendly and helpful. Men's locker room very nice and clean. A great location and the gem of Tucson.
We found the Lodge at Ventana Canyon to be a high quality oasis. Service, accommodations, golf, and food were terrific. Check-in was quick and personalized. Both golf courses were in great shape. We loved the Mountain course in particular. Pro shop and bag management excellent. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch were all delightful, especially gracious, personable and knowledgeable wait staff. Eating outside is always a treat, and the patios have lovely views of the course, flowers, trees, and mountains. Our mountain-view king was very spacious, again with great views. Efficient, personalized checkout. You can't miss!
This is our 3rd trip to Ventana Lodge for a spring golf and birthday vacation. The golf package is reasonable and the resort is clean with excellent staff to accommodate any and all needs. The pool area is large with food and beverage service available. The two golf courses are well groomed with plush green fairways that provide a fair and entertaining challenge. The lodge is shared with members so at times can feel stuffy, but that relates more to the attitudes of the members and not applicable to any of the staff. The food is really tasty and breakfast included in the golf package along with a $50 resort coupon. There have been noticeable updates since last year and our suite was just beautiful! I noticed not all rooms have gotten the updates so hopefully it’s in progress. There is a free van service that will drive you within a 2 mile radius for dining out or trips to the store for supplies (rooms have kitchenettes), which we love! There is a fun hiking trail on the premises by the Loews resort that we frequent with some good variation in terrain. Overall we love Ventana Canyon Lodge for the golf, views, and overall accommodations! …
Great place to stay and play golf. Well worth the $$$$. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The golf course was in fantastic shape and the bar and dining area was clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere. Outside lounge was a nice experience and the service was outstanding.
Great place to get away for a week. Food was very good. Snow on the third day was disappointing. HVAC was like a jet engine in the room. Everything else was great. Staff very helpful. A golfing group with three should realize that numerous foursomes in front of them aren't going to get done in 4 hours. Finished in 4:16 with Chumley complaining he had to wait a few shots. Otherwise, great time.
as usual nothing but a positive experience even though weather did not co-operate we were here for 5 days and golfed 3- two great courses and the accomodations at the Lodge were super as has been my experience for the past 8 years
We stayed in a Loft Suite with my brother and his wife. The resort as whole is well situated, with good facilities - we enjoyed our meals in the bar area. We knew the second sleeping area was a mezzanine but hadn't realised that it was practically impossible to get suitcases up the, very cramped, spiral staircase so they had to leave their suitcases in the seating area. Not ideal or very upmarket, even teens would have struggled. The kitchen area had barely sufficient equipment to enable us to prepare a couple of meals - in fact the largest ring on the electric cooker hob was broken. There was no kettle? Otherwise we were very comfortable and had convivial evenings playing cards etc.
Huge suites! great views! amazing food! tennis and golf!! great pool for our daughter, we enjoyed our first 3 night in Tucson before heading north to Sedona; only regret is that I retired from gold many years ago.
Our yearly golf trip of 50+ people were well treated. The golf was amazing and the food, drinks, and hospitality were excellent. Beautiful courses with fantastic views and scenery. Challenging from the tips but enjoyable for all. Will definitely return in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay and play experience here. The setting was beautiful and staff was professional and helpful. Rooms and fitness center are a bit dated and could use some updating but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
