Aimiable, accommodating, modestly priced hotel cum afternoon/evening restaurant facing the Bay of Fundy where seals cavort, and where at night you can believe vampires roam, Cohill's is very welcoming. Situated a minute from Campobello Island in Canada where FDR had a summer home before he became President and where there is a superb bi-national historic site, Cohill's provides a cozy... More

We loved this little place in lubec. This is our first visit to the area. The lodging choices are somewhat limited as its a tiny little downtown area. Cohills is located at the end of the Main Street on the waterfront. The location couldn't be better - as you have water all around you and the beautiful islands and coast... More

Lubec is the easternmost point in the US, and it's not a day trip from anywhere. So when you visit this gorgeous spot on the planet, you'll need a place to stay. Cohill's is it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My brother and I were visiting, and I had requested the only room that has two beds. When... More

The Inn is a warm and comfortable place. Not fancy, but very clean and pleasantly appointed. The owner could not have been kinder or friendlier and went out of his way to help us secure our bicycles and make sure we had directions and advice on what to see and where to go. Many of the rooms have stunning views... More

I highly recommend a visit to the amazing little town of Lubec, ME. Lubec is the easternmost town in the US. There is no place that could be nicer, more accommodating or relaxing than Cohill's. The owners are amazing you will treat you like family.

We just returned home after spending three nights here. We had Room 9, very large and a ridiculous view of the harbor, lighthouse, islands and sea. While this is not a luxury hotel, the room was pleasantly appointed, the bed was comfortable and the entire hotel was spotless. We did not think it too expensive, either. The owners and staff... Came to Lubec for an overnight trip and found a room at Cohill's for the night much to our good fortune! The staff was courteous and friendly and gave us a clean, comfortable, nicely appointed room. It was decorated with furnishings to remind you of a day gone by, but with modern amenities! It is close to the waterfront and... More

Went back the next day to get more Shepherd's Pie. It is that good. The burgers are great and they had a curry special. Could have been spicier but it is Maine. Still a nice surprise to have an honest menu and nothing fried. The owners really hustle to keep the service going. Great place on the water and I... More

Cohill's Inn was a lot of fun! The staff, particularly the bartenders, were awesome and attentive. Not your average pub fare - nothing fried here. The cooks take it up a notch with some really interesting, healthier yet tasty food. Think lamb burgers, baked sweet potato, and cream cheese. Cohills brings out a nice mix of locals and tourists to... More

This Inn was chosen and booked ahead as we wanted to experience the Irish Pub atmosphere and food as well as the view from our room upstairs which was the best part of the experience with an unobstructed view of the waterfront and harbour activities. When we arrived, we were told the pub was closed for the week and that... More

Cohill's Inn is located at 7 Water Street in the town of Lubec, Maine overlooking the Bay of Fundy on one side and the Lubec Narrows on the other. We provide simple but appealing fare and overnight accommodations for those wishing to extend their stay in Lubec. Cohill's Inn is modeled after the traditional Irish pubs that we found and adored during our travels through the coastal towns of Ireland. We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere for people to gather for pleasant company, hearty fare and good cheer. Come enjoy a weekend or more in one of our nine smoke free rooms and watch the seals frolic just outside our Inn. Enjoy the casual charm of our traditional fishing village, the historic waterfront and the unspoiled beauty of Downeast Maine. ... more   less
