Sorry for the late review, but are just getting around to reviewing our trip. We stayed here back in September '16. We were doing an East Coast road trip and came across this unique property. Being a boater on the West Coast, I really appreciate the Coast Guard and when I found out that this is an old Coast Guard...

This was a great stay! Only one night but the owner is awesome and called me right back. I wish I had more time to stay but only had a short visit. The lighthouse is right up the road and you can see the stars vividly! The camp was clean and fully equipped like a hotel. There is a fridge...

Although this lighthouse is off the beaten path, it is well worth the drive. Beautiful structure in a lovely setting with helpful and friendly volunteers. We were fortunate to find the visitors center still open for our mid-October visit. It closed for the season the following day. While in the area cross the border into New Brunswick to visit East...

If you love lighthouses like we do, you have to include this one on your road trip. Beautiful grounds and easy accessibility made for a great visit. It's easy to find and its open grounds are great for stretching legs as you enjoy the area.

West Quoddy Head Station was a wonderful place to spend a couple nights exploring the coastal Downeast Maine and Campobello Island. We were two couples who shared a room and, by virtue of our sharing, were able to realize a wonderful value. Very traditional structures on the outside. Well kept on the inside. We really enjoyed our stay and highly...

My wife and I (mid-sixties) visited Lubec in late Sept. 2016. We were attracted to West Quoddy Station because of the water views and its proximity to Campobello Island. We stayed in the Cabin which is basically one large room with two double beds, kitchen and dining area along with a bathroom. The accommodations suited my wife and I just...

We loved staying here. The location is excellent if you plan to spend some time on Campobello Island. You are less than 10 minutes from the border crossing. The room was spacious and had a small kitchen. They do not supply shampoo, lotions, etc. and you need to bring your own hairdryer. Also, if you will be washing dishes, there...

Bill the innkeeper has resurrected the old coast guard station and created a unique place to stay. Each room is different and he showed us around to all of them. They all include a kitchenette and coffee maker. We got up early to watch the first rays of the sun to hit the USA that day We plan to return!

What a beautiful location. Great hiking nearby. Water views. A quick trip across the bridge if you have a valid passport and you are in Canada - Campobello Island which is also lovely. Friendly staff and locals. This is Acadia without the crowds. in fact, we ran into people who live in Bar Harbor and vacation in Lubec. This is...
