Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable cabins, very nice grounds Will definitely be back great place to visit Rocky Mountain National Park from about 2 miles from Park Gate They also lend fishing poles and coolers
Beautiful setting, very quiet place with such character. Room was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the river running through the property, it was just a few steps from our door. Parking was directly outside our door as well, that made it easy. The staff was extremely nice! We had a really relaxing stay, and would gladly book here again. Lovely.
Our family stayed at Castle Mountain Lodge for a family wedding in RMNP. We booked multiple rooms - Castle Tower, Castle 1 and River Castle 2. All rooms were spacious and well appointed. The resort has ample outdoor space to utilize as well as games and activities for the whole family. It's also located along a river where they have plenty of seats to relax and watch the rapids. There are also several good places to fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to be able to visit again.
After looking at several locations in Estes Park for our family anniversary gathering we selected Castle Mountain Lodge. A great choice! We had a group of 18, including our 8 grandkids, for a five day stay. We reserved three of the buildings. The arrangement suited our family perfectly--all units were clean, comfortable and provided lots of space for preparing meals, eating and playing games. We had most of our meals outside, and there was plenty of space for the kids to play. A bonus is that the Lodge is about 2.5 miles (5 minutes) from the Fall River Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We went to the park on two of the days and did several other activities on other days. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Can't say enough good things about our stay. We loved it and will look for an opportunity to return. Rob…
We had a group of 25 people and it was the perfect place for us to stay. It is clean and well maintained. The folks at the desk were a nice as could be. The stream running right past cabin is beautiful and so relaxing.
Great place to stay. Pretty location with the river running right next to it. Clean and friendly. Bed and pillow were comfortable. It's just a few miles from one of the Park entrances. I would definitely stay here again. Check in and check out went smoothly and quickly.
We stayed in one of the motel rooms (I believe there are six of them). Our room had two queen sized beds, a mini fridge and a microwave, a small closet area, and a small bathroom. There’s also a porch out front with two chairs. I loved the outdoor spaces. The river runs right alongside the resort property. There are several benches, chairs, and picnic tables all along the riverside for guests to enjoy. There are some bird feeders on property that attract hummingbirds and other bird species. The trail that goes up the mountainside at the back of the resort leads to beautiful views. There’s a hot tub on property that you can use for thirty minutes at a time by picking up the key at the office. No restaurants on site, but downtown is really close. It’s also just a short drive to the Fall River entrance of the park.…
What a wonderful location for our family reunion! The common areas were perfect for families with a playground and tether ball! We stayed in Evergreen which was just down the road but had great space for our family of four! Great view of the river, loved the hammocks, and the staff was exceptional!
Staff was really friendly! It’s tucked away in the trees and has nice hiking behind it and it’s right by the river. Our room was clean and had a perfect lodge feel to it. We will stay again for sure. We had the hot tub all to ourself.
We had such a magical stay at Castle Mountain Lodge. My family of 5 stayed in Castle Spruce. It was perfect size for us, loved the outdoor hot tub which we used nearly every night. The kitchen was stocked with everything we would need to cook, you just have to bring the food/seasonings and Safeway is only a 4 min. drive away. I used the coin laundry on property on my last day there and despite doing laundry, it was actually peaceful and a nice place to do it. The grounds of the whole place are just beautiful. Loved the hammocks and chairs that are scattered for use around the property. Spent many mornings and evenings walking along the river. You can also hike up a trail behind the cabins and get a pretty view of the mountains around, especially at sunset. We spent a couple nights having a fire at the firepit near the river which they always have plenty of wood available for use and even prongs for marshmallows or hotdog roasting. I loved that you can borrow games from the office for your stay. We used yard golf and corn hole. You can also rent DVD's. My 5 year old loved the playground on the property. The cabins are only a short drive from the Fall River entrance to RMNP which is an easy drive to make in the evenings to go into the park, The Alluvial Fan is really pretty in the mornings and evenings. This was a bucket list trip and I'm so happy we stayed at Castle Mountain Lodge. If we are ever in the area again I would definitely choose to stay here.…
