This is a great inn to stay at! The rooms wwere perfect for the price. The location was great. Just on the outskirts of town but an very easy walk by the river to get to the shops. We had an amazing stay. We used the hot tub and fireplace. The towels are super thick and soft!! The only thing we didn't take advantage of was the breakfast. The receptionist was super nice and gave great suggestions on where to go and eat. I WOULD BE A REGULAR if it wasn't so many states away. Book this place you won't be disappointed!
So quaint and super clean!! Quiet and w/in walking distance of a great breakfast place and downtown Estes Park. You can drive anywhere in no time .... As long as you take the back roads around downtown 😂. Need a peaceful place to stay...this is the place!!
This inn was perfect for our visit to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Our room was clean and comfortable with and small balcony that was enjoyable for reading and relaxing. Our room was right on the river and we enjoyed hearing the water each evening. It is a short walk from town and just a few minutes to enter the park. Our desk clerk gave us good dinner recommendations. Breakfast was just right for us as we prepared for our days of hiking. We would definitely stay again.
This place has CHARACTER! And the owners and employees really go out of their way to make visits pleasant. It isn't opulent, it isn't urban sophistication. It's character. The furniture, the decor... we found it cozy and just perfect. The property is well-maintained and CLEAN. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm pretty sure we'll be making another visit soon. I was surprised at the location-- all the events, shops and restaurants in the downtown area were just a few minutes away.
It's a 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants etc. but we loved this stay. The rooms were spacious and very clean. There was a mini-fridge and a microwave if you are so inclined. The breakfast for us was more of a grab and go but there are some great breakfast options in town if you want something hardy. Dana was so nice and very informative. This place will not show up on some searches and that was a good thing for us because most of the other options were booked. We would absolutely choose the Maxwell Inn for our next stay.
The Maxwell Inn is a fabulous place to enjoy your stay while visiting Estes Park. The staff went beyond our expectations with cleanliness, friendliness and overall accommodations! My family and I loved this place! So cozy and perfect the location to visit the downtown shopping, eating and then off to the Rocky Mountain National Park!
High five for the Maxwell Inn. Accommodation was top notch. Quality bedding and towels. Super clean, great amenities. The lite continental breakfast provided was perfect. Everyone was so friendly from the owners to housekeeping staff. We could not have picked a better place to stay in Estes Park. Harlene and Paul Garnhart
This is a small motel very close to the main shopping/ eating area in Estes Park. The location is great for being quiet, but close to the touristy town and a short drive from Rocky Mountain National Park. The room was clean and nicely furnished but not large for 3 adults. It wasn't a bad stay of 3 nights, but the check in clerk was obviously not happy to be there. She would only give us one brass key for the three of us adults (who had different plans at times) and there was a crazy $75 replacement fee if you did not return the key. The hot tub only accommodates 2 people so you have to book with reception which I wasn't inclined to deal with after our initial chilly welcome. Breakfast was minimal so not worth bothering as there is an excellent breakfast place 5 minutes walk away, but there were milano cookies which were worth picking up on the way to the good breakfast place. This is a tourist town with a LOT of accommodation choices so if I return, I think I would try another place. …
The room was emaculate the staff was terrific and would reccomend to anyone the location was close to downtown and resteraunts had a wonderful time. The weather was good and was there for the Christmas parade.
The Maxwell Inn was such a great stay! My mom, sister, and I thoroughly enjoyed the two days we spent there and would have loved to stay longer. The room was clean and cozy, and I loved the tall ceilings. We stayed in a deluxe double queen room and it was a great size for the three of us. It is a short, beautiful walk to the downtown area and we saw lots of elk! The view from the 2nd floor room was wonderful and I love that the doors open up right outside (as opposed to a shared hallway). Dana was very accommodating to anything we needed and I will definitely stay here anytime I’m in Estes Park!
