The Maxwell family are excellent hosts! Comfy beds, great location...everything you could ask for. Taking in the mountains while sipping a cold beverage in the hot tub was bliss! Look no further, we'll be staying there again!

We had a nice quiet threes nights in this Inn. It is close to town, but away from the busy downtown. We would come back and stay again. If you are in the area, look this place up. It is family owned and everyone was wonderful

Schellin - We really strive to be a great spot to rest! A spot where you can get a good nights sleep, a quick complementary continental breakfast, good hiking (or shopping!) advice and be out and exploring the whole day. Thank you for the kind words, and it truly does give us great joy to hear that you liked our motel. We hope you can make it back to Estes someday.

The Maxwell Inn is a family owned hotel right at the end of Elkhorn Ave. in Estes Park. I wouldn't necessarily call it a hidden gem, but I was sure glad I found it! Perfectly clean and perfectly comfortable for your home base while visiting RMNP. Dana was a lovely hostess. She provides a nice breakfast buffet to help you start your day and great room when you're ready to end it. There were elk right in the front yard and many birds to watch while relaxing on the deck. We easily (and quickly) walked into town via the riverwalk.

Have stayed at Maxwell several times now, summer and winter. Always a very comfortable and clean room. Service has always been the Best; they comply and fulfill all our needs! Price is reasonable, location close to town, but off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

Traveled with daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. The Inn is with in walking distance to shopping. Quite. Great views of the mountains. We had 2 rooms both 2 queen beds, fireplace with timer, 2 sitting chairs. Lots of windows. Large closet and nice size bathroom. A plus was a large elk that just “hung out” there our entire stay. Went horse back riding right across the road. A light continental breakfast was nice. Staff was very helpful. Beds were super comfortable. Bath products were great. Loved the tube of lip balm. We will definitely stay here again.

Jill - Thanks for the review of our place! You all stayed in our "deluxe rooms" - which feature (like you said) fireplaces, more windows, larger bathrooms. Lately there has been a rather large bull elk hanging around the front of our property, and he comes through nearly nightly and eats on some of our plants (ugh) and just lazily makes his way across the front. The lip balm was something we settled on our first year - vacationing here we remember how dry it can be if you're used to humidity, and chapped lips are a regular occurrence! Thank you for staying with us and hope you can make it back out this way again!
