Rocky Mountain National Park is only 2 miles away. Estes Park is a minute's walk along the Big Thompson River. Prospect Mountain IS the back part of our property. With 60' spruce trees, gas grills, hot tubs, our rooms, suites, and cabins are just a lovely place to hang out.

What a wonderful place ! The owners/managers were absolutely outstanding- friendly & informative, The rooms are adequate , it isn't a 5 star lodge; but rooms were clean & comfortable. The best thing tho is the location. Walking distance to any place downtown within 10 minutes (even for a slow walker) You can leave your car and not have to pay those parking lot fees- which can add up fast - if you even find a spot!! The manager and his wife are very friendly and we visited with them while we sat around the fire pit (it was 55F outside) so it was very inviting! First class people and operation!!!

We stayed in Cabin 15 and loved it! Two bedroom with living room and kitchen. Comfy king size beds, teenage boys slept on two sleeper sofas comfortably. Kitchen was wonderful, made breakfast each morning to save money. Amazing location to downtown, we walked every where. Kids loved the hot tub. Highly recommend!

The staff returned my phone call in a timely manner and had more information than I knew to ask for. The cabin was larger than we expected, cleaner than anticipated, and located within walking distance from most everything we did. Our family of 5 enjoyed the outdoor picnic tables and outdoor seating on the lodge grounds. We liked that there were two playgrounds within a short walking distance of the lodge. We appreciated the reserved parking so close to the cabin. The full size kitchen was so helpful for making meals. Bath towels were available upon our arrival to the cabin. I appreciated that towels were provided for the hot tub too. When we return to Estes, we will be staying at Misty Mountain Lodge. Thanks for a comfortable place to stay.

We arrived in town without a reservation and we were happy to find this place. They rented us a room that was half way remodeled but still very clean. The bathroom has been updated but not the bedroom or kitchen but everything was very clean. There was no air conditioner but I prefer an open window anyway and the room was not the least bit hot. It is located next to a river so the sound of rushing water was a great sleep aid. It is walking distance to the downtown. There is such a cozy feel to the whole place. There is cafe seating in front of some of the rooms so early morning coffee outside is great. There are pit groupings outside in the grassy courtyard to sit and visit with friends. The place is smoke free so that' a huge plus as well. No pot smoking allowed on the grounds....another plus as many area's in Colorado are filled with the awful pot skunk smell. With all the edible marijuana's now why would anyone risk their health by smoking. There is also a hot tub there but we didn't use it.

Our new favorite place to stay in Estes! Hotels can be extremely hit or miss in Estes Park, but Misty Mountain is fantastic. The location couldn’t be better and for a family of four the one bedroom with a foldout couch was exactly what we needed. Somehow, in June, it was 92 degrees for a couple of days of our visit and our rooms were never uncomfortably hot or stuffy. The provided fans pulling in the cool air at night really helped. It was extremely clean and obviously well taken care of, with updated shower/toilet/vanity/flooring. I didn’t cook while there, but the full size fridge was really handy to have. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful and my kids loved the DVD library. Overall our stay there was perfect and we can’t wait to come back next year!

Room Tip: Being able to walk into downtown is a dream, as parking can be a nightmare. Room 6 was great!
