Whether you are planning a quiet getaway, a wedding or reunion...We have the setting-you create the memories!!!
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We recently stayed at Black Canyon Inn, our daughter was married in the pavillion and we had the reception in the Homestead. We stayed in F7 and H4, both are beautiful units. F7 was very well equipped, there were even Fall decorations! We especially enjoyed the comfortable chairs on the deck to watch the wildlife and enjoy the views. H4 had the space we needed for family but didn't have anything beyond the most necessary items, no serving or mixing bowls, but did have plates, silverware and cups, etc.
Our wedding coordinator, Amber, and all the other staff made the wedding a wonderful success. They did an exceptional job from menu options to serving and everything in between. They made every effort to accomodate special requests and were so easy to work with. We highly recommend them!

This is our third visit to Black Canyon Inn and my husband and I stayed for 6 nights. We have stayed in a different units each time we have come which is dependent on the number of family members that have come with us. We have been pleased with each of them! We keep returning because we love the location and amenities at Black Canyon. The location is near enough to town but far enough away to be remote. The mountains are just steps away! There is nothing like hiking all day and then coming back to relax and have a snack on our patio and just enjoy the view and wildlife. The unit was very well kept (recently renovated) and very clean. The staff goes above and beyond to keep the property quiet and restful even with all the weddings that they have. We never once heard loud groups! We will return!

We were here to attend a wedding, staying in "The Suites." Our room was large and pleasant. The setting is beautiful. There were, however, a couple of things that bothered me and prompts this review. First, a 10 am check out time, especially after a wedding, is ridiculous. Second, when I enquired about getting some ice, I was told, "There is no ice on the premises." (To boot, the tiny freezer in our fridge did not have an ice tray - really? - if you don't have an ice machine?) Even the worst Motel 6 would have ice. While our room was pretty expensive, I got the overall impression that the hotel was doing things on the cheap. The office staff was hardly warm and fuzzy. None of this detracted very much. This review is more oriented towards getting the attention of the inn's management.

Prior to them being built, there were just condos on property and all of them offer full kitchens, so the ice machine has never been needed/requested. Checked into the Black Canyon Inn room looked adequate but no phone in the room in case of an emergency and there is no cell reception, no ice or ice bucket on the property, no wine glasses in the room, no bottled water (not even one) and for $365 a night these are basic amenities at any lodging facility. Even motel six offers these. It also did not have any shampoo, conditioner etc. Thank heaven we are only here two nights, then moving on!
Talked with the manager and he could care less. We told him we were going to do some bad reviews. He said “fine go ahead” he didn’t care. He told me I could go to a grocery store back down in town and buy ice! I assume he expected me to buy an ice bucket also!
In all of our years of traveling this country and Europe, we have never stayed at a place that would not provide ice and a means to get in touch with the office should there be an emergency.
What does that tell you?
Save your money and definitely book somewhere else.

Black Canyon Inn is beautiful and condo clean but the staff is extremely rude. In a rush to check out we left some cloths in the condo. Called the office and they returned about half of our clothes. Missing items where more high end clothing like Lulu Lemon. Called the office just to say we are missing clothes we don't expect to see them again and we are not asking for any money but just to say you have a theft among your staff. Manager couldn't of been more rude. Pretty much said we must have left them somewhere else and his staff would never steal anything. not sure where we could of left them. When we arrived we unpack and when we left we packed up the car and went home. Manager told me to never come back. We got married at the venue on site and brought over 100 people from Chicago to Estes Park and about 20 of our guest rental condos and rooms at Black Canyon Inn. I would recommend getting married at the venue but I would never stay or recommend anyone to spend any money at Black Canyon Inn!! Manger and his assistant talk over my wife and I and pretty much didn't offer any apologies.

We are always disappointed to read a review like this one. We do our best to find and return all lost items. This is something most motels, Inns, Resorts, etc. would never do for reasons like this. Anything left behind is turned in by our staff promptly and we have a great track record of never having any theft here. We apologize that you mistakenly left your items behind, but to be held fully responsible for theft after we locate and return the items also feels very uncomfortable. We trust our staff and we simply tried to convey that we have never had an issue, we were never trying to convey anything other than that. We hope you find your missing items. We stayed in H2 and LOVED it. Great location within walking distance to downtown but quiet and in the hills. Pool was closed due to Covid but we were so busy with hiking, etc. we didn’t have time to use it anyway. Our condo was SUPER CLEAN. The only negative thing I can say is that the WiFi is really weak on the property, and the cable tv is very hot or miss, I would guess due to poor connectivity. We brought our roku and had to unplug the cable and plug that in instead, and were able to watch through that. Otherwise, awesome property and very clean condo.

BCI is nestled just outside of downtown Estes Park and provides awesome views with comfortable accommodations. Our unit had heated floors , fireplace and a well appointed kitchen. The staff was amazing and mailed my wife's expensive hair dryer (yes they make them) back to us in Virginia! The wedding at the Boulders was breathtaking and our family had a ball! This is a beautiful resort, minutes from all the shops/restaurants in Estes Park. We loved the setting, especially the view of Long’s Peak from our window, significant to our two “trekkers” who reached the top in 1992. Condo was clean, reasonably appointed and a breeze to get to RMNP/Estes Park.
It was concerning that there is no “front desk” but we did receive a reasonable response when we contacted the call number. That was a critical component to our stay because......
......On our first night we had some unit machinery that “kicked in” with loud banging and noise, waking us up. Resort investigated but unable to recreate. Unfortunately, night 2 was more of the same, making it impossible to sleep after 2:00AM on both nights of our 2 day stay.
We complained about the issue, and I will say that Black Canyon Inn did resolve to our satisfaction. We’re appreciative of that and, had we not had the noise issue, our rating would have been 5 stars. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay at this facility again given it's lovely setting and prime location.

We had an unexpected hiccup in our night and our condo was no longer available. Although disappointed, the management got us settled in two Suite rooms for the night that were absolutely lovely and refunded our fee for the condo. The grounds are positively gorgeous and we did watch a family of elk from our balcony. We used the pool too and had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

Our seven night stay was perfect. Our view of the mountains, close proximity to the Rockies, trails and downtown made the trip memorable. Our accommodation's lay out gave the three of us room to spread out and relax after our hikes. And, our room was spotless and had everything we needed. I'm sold on Black Canyon Inn and can't wait to return.

I’m not Lori but my daughter stayed in A1 which was very close to the pond with no other units between hers and the pond. A1 has a little bit of a walk from parking if carrying groceries or luggage is an issue for you.

We have taken this stance not only for the protection of the property, but for the safety and well-being of your pet. Our property is frequented by all types of wildlife, many of them larger animals.

Hello! We are a residential property, and do not have any fitness facilities. We are right around 2 miles to a couple of different options. We are also in very close proximity to walking, biking, and hiking trails!
