In the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado is this amazing place called Wind River Ranch! Just arrived home after a wonderful week in God's Country, Estes Park, Colorado! The grandeur of the Rockies from your cozy cabin, the lovely swimming pool, the horse arena and dining hall are views you will never forget. The gourmet meals and friendly staff were wonderful. Each staff member was there to serve the guests with kindness and a smile. Best staff of young people I have ever seen.
The best part of my week was the people I met. Great family's and couples from all around the country. The fellowship with like-minded Christians was a huge blessing!
The morning devotions were optional, but everyone wanted to be there to sing and worship God in the beautiful scenic setting of majestic mountains. Recording star Brandon Heath from Nashville, gave a fabulous concert, plus he sang each day to inspire us and encourage us in our faith. What a voice and what a sweet family he has that blessed us daily with their love for each other and for the Lord.
From cook outs to square dances and all the horse riding you could ever desire, this is the place to come apart and rest or have fun enjoying your family and friends.
They do everything with excellence here and they do it for THE GLORY OF GOD!

We just returned from Wind River Ranch on a retreat and it was the most incredible experience. The staff was some of the most kind and accommodating I've ever encountered--we visited during an unseasonably cold week and they did everything possible to ensure guests were comfortable and adjusted the activity schedule in response to the weather. The facilities were well maintained; we stayed in a large cabin with 2 king beds and 4 bunks. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out in our cabin! The food was impeccable and the location perfect. We were just a few miles outside of Estes Park, giving easy access for anyone who wanted to visit town, yet you still felt secluded on the property. I can't sing Wind River Ranch's praises enough!

We had a very refreshing and soul-renewing time at Wind River Ranch. We enjoyed several outings they organized including a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, a horse ride, e-biking, and time off just to sit outside and soak in the mountains. The meals and personal attention were superb!

My husband and I were able to spend 5 days together at Wind River Ranch. It was the best experience!! We will be bringing our whole family next season. We experienced a variety of activities and had great spaces to relax and unwind. The lodging was cozy and comfortable and the staff was exceptional. Aaron and his staff were genuine in their desire to serve. The food must also be mentioned as the chef’s heart shows through her food. This place blessed us tremendously this week and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time somewhere beautiful. This place will not disappoint:)

There are not many places like Wind River Ranch. This was a vacation of a lifetime that gives a family so much more than just entertainment. It is a place where time and people are valued and kids can play freely and safely. Everything is taken care of with love from start to end. Although it wasn’t our cheapest vacation it was our most valuable for all the special moments we shared as a family and we left closer than when we came. The sleeping quarters, the food , the service was all impeccable but how were were treated and cared for is something I haven’t felt since the 80s. This is a step back in time when things were simpler and times were better. We WILL be back. Thank you Wind River, you are a blessing.

The Ranch is a place that allows you to rest your mind and soul. The Staff is amazing and has exemplified every bit of Galatians 5:13.
We met lifelong friends and enjoyed horseback riding, kayaking, swimming, biking, porch reading, and amazing food.
Thank you all! We can’t wait to come back!

The people are truly amazing here. Staff is professional at the highest level and takes a real interest in each person. The horse riding in the national park is fantastic and there’s a lot of variety in the types of rides.

We have been here three times as a family and will come back often. This is the kind of place where true family bonding occurs and lasting memories are made. We grow in our faith every time.

I don't really know where to start because I could write a small book on our experience at Wind River Ranch this past summer. To start, let me just say this was a very different vacation for our family. Our annual summer vacation had consisted of going to the beach. We had a favorite resort, knew the local restaurants, best beaches and always returned home refreshed - or so we thought. No complaints but I was really looking for something different.

As I began to plan our 2014 vacation, I ran across Wind River Ranch and later ended up on Trip Advisor scouring through seemingly countless positive reviews. Of particular interest to me was the location, what it offered, that it was family-oriented and Christ-centered. The thought of trading the "connected" world we live in for the quiet and seclusion of this ranch in Colorado was certainly appealing but what about the beach? After much thought, I took the plunge and booked a week at Wind River knowing this would either be remembered as one of our most memorable vacations ever or simply as "the year we didn't go to the beach".

July finally arrived and we were off to Wind River. We arrived at the gate and were greeted by several young staff members and then escorted by two horse-riding wranglers to registration. As we pulled up, we were met by a group of staff serenading and welcoming us to the ranch. In those first 15 minutes of interacting with staff and seeing the surroundings, I could tell this would be no ordinary vacation.

We quickly got a feel for things on the property and where everything is. This place is simply beautiful resting between the shadows of Long's Peak and the Twin Sisters. Our cabin was clean, comfy and we just loved it. While much smaller than what we are accustomed to at home, it had the bunk beds my boys had always dreamed of and privacy for my daughter. The master bedroom and bath were spectacular but it was the wood burning fireplace that helped make most of the memories at our cabin. As everyone woke up each morning or settled in at night, we would gravitate to the fireplace and just sit around the fire talking, reading, laughing, sharing stories of the day, planning the next day, etc. Free from the normal distractions of life, we really began to focus on one another, our relationships, God's word and so much more. Wind River has a magical way of removing the "noise" of the world and allows us to focus on what is really important in life.

While the ranch is certainly exceptional in every way, it's really just another beautiful piece of property without the staff. That's the key to Wind River. Every person you will encounter at the ranch has a servants heart. This is their ministry and they take it very seriously. Their love of people and commitment to relationships is refreshing. We have a child with physical limitations and were initially concerned if he could experience the ranch as other kids could. The staff was so mature, responsible and loving toward my son, that we had no problem leaving him with the counselors for hours at a time. They had a plan in place for him before we arrived and actually had someone with him at all times making him feel safe and allowing him to enjoy everything Wind River has to offer. This is truly a remarkable group of caring people!

Ranch life is great! There was somewhat of a routine at the ranch but you can make your own if you like. Everyone met in the guesthouse for breakfast together and then the adults could head off for bible study on the deck while the kids met in a different area. There was free time later in the morning and then back to the guesthouse for lunch. Most afternoons were open for horseback riding, swimming, zip lines, basketball, fishing, hikes, rodeo's or just sitting around the ranch reading a book or taking in the scenery. Nights on the ranch are great fun. After dinner, we would all meet fireside in the meadow for songs and a time of devotion. Each night there was something planned from square dancing to an impromptu talent show, which you don't want to miss. As each day winds down, most of the kids at the ranch end up down at the guesthouse sipping hot chocolate together in front of the fireplace. Time seems to stand still at Wind River allowing us to enjoy the beauty of life and the people in it.

As you can probably tell by now, our week at Wind River was like no other vacation. Our family unanimously concluded that Wind River Ranch would be our family vacation destination for the years to come. Interesting, my wife and I didn't have to wait until the end of the trip to find out. Our three kids came to us on the second night at the ranch to tell us they would gladly give up the beach every year to come back to Wind River. My wife and I agreed so we booked our 2015 vacation before we left.

Thank you Wind River for making this such a memorable week in the life of our family. We can't wait to see you all again next year.

Hi byron509, You've asked about the admission of Black, Jewish and Muslim people. If you have a specific concern, I'd suggest you call the ranch directly. As far as I can tell, they do not discriminate against any race or religion.
