First off we are on our anniversary trip and wanted to stay somewhere nice. Not the case with this hotel. The hotel staff was extremely rude upon check in and it went down hill from there. The rooms do not seem newly updated at all. They are small and the walls are paper thin. The bed is rock hard, and they only give you 3 pillows. Also the “comforter” is paper thin and we had to use an extra blanket we brought. We heard the room next to us all night and got a horrible nights sleep. We also asked for new towels as we are staying one more day. The staff informed us they put towels outside our room rather than in the room. My husband also called the manager and the manager left a extremely rude voicemail for my husband. He said they are always on site and there is NO ONE here. We knocked on the door 3 times and no one answered. Finally at 11 someone came and gave us towels. We asked why they didn’t answer the emergency phone number we called or the door and they informed us it’s because they were doing laundry. They also are claiming they didn’t have house cleaning clean our room because the do not disturb sign was up even though the housekeeper WATCHED us take the sign down. The staff here does not care about our stay and they are making our trip miserable. They are very overpriced for what they offer. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. STAY AWAY. And now the manager is trying to kick us out of our room because we had an issue with them. So my husband called the cops to have a more civil interaction than we did the first time. The cops got there and the manager was no where to be found. The cops left and we decided we had had enough and were going to leave. My husband went back to the office to get a final receipt from them so they didn’t try to pull anything on us and they wouldn’t answer the door. So the cops finally called and got a hold of someone who is suppose to send us an email receipt. These people claim on other reviews I’ve read that they are “not interested in being right, I’m interested in a happy guest”. Well no happy guest here. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the poor management of this hotel.

This review was left by guests who were removed from our property due to their incorrigibly reprehensible behavior. Her review is comprised of both significant embellishments and comprehensive fabrications. Emma and her husband were asked to leave our property prior to their reservation timeframe being completed after the husband chose to spit at us as his way of displaying his displeasure with being informed that Covid has ushered in several new protocols that we follow. Prior to that incident, at 11pm, well into quiet time for our property, the husband bellowed angrily while battering the doors and windows of our front office in an astoundingly inappropriate attempt to get our attention. That behavior resulted in another guest calling our emergency number in a panic thinking someone was trying to break into our office or worse, physically harm us. Additionally, Emma and her husband left several voicemails shouting profanities and threats at us and refused to have a rational discussion in a sensible manner. These two individuals demonstrated a complete lack of self-control and conducted themselves in a manner well outside the bounds of what we consider acceptable. Because of this, I made the decision to protect our other guests from becoming further distressed by their uncontrollable and unpredictable behavior and had them removed. Luckily, it is a rare occurrence that someone exhibits such insolent behavior and was in fact the first time we’ve ever needed to involve police. Should this type of unwelcomed behavior ever be demonstrated here by someone, we will always do whatever is necessary to swiftly protect our guests and their families and safeguard their peace of mind first and foremost. We are unapologetic in our austere dedication to this. To Emma, we are sorry that your time here concluded with you being asked to leave. None of what took place was necessary and I hope that after some time and reflection you’re able to understand that the way you two conducted yourselves is outside the bounds of what any business will deem tolerable. As such, consequences like what happened here will continue to follow you so long as you continue believing in your own superiority and that rules don’t apply to you. I urge you to take heed of your need to learn from your mistakes and grow as a person. We both know that every element of your review is able to be proven untrue. All of our phone calls, incoming, outgoing and messages are all recorded and archived and the entire property is under 24/7 video surveillance. That fact aside however, I just wanted to speak directly to you two for just a moment and let you know that we forgive you for how you acted while you were here. We believe that your futures can still be bright. Although it will be a long and tough road, we hope that you will be mindful of the opportunity you have to choose the much needed path of personal growth and we wish you the best of luck on your journey to becoming better people. We believe in you! And lastly, to address your “pulling something” statement. I believe you are implying that we might fraudulently charge your credit or debit cards somehow. Emma, all of your cards were declined for insufficient funds. You had to go try and find enough cash to be able to stay here. We felt so bad for you guys that we chose to break our own company policy in order to allow you to stay here. As you know, we don’t allow people to stay here and only pay cash. We require a working credit card which you do not have. You thanked us profusely and were very grateful for us doing that for you guys. I understand that you are upset that you were asked to leave, but accusing us of potentially committing fraud seems a bit low, especially after we did you such a huge favor. So, I’m not sure why you would say something like that or how you anticipate us even being able to “pull something”, but I can assure you, we wouldn’t waste our time trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip. Plus, it never even crossed our minds. Accusations like these tend to come from those who have a high probability of doing something like that themselves. Projection is a fascinating topic within the study of psychology. We wish you the best of luck in all your future decision making. Take care guys!

Nice location and very clean. Check in process was quick and the lady was very friendly and welcoming. Bathroom was smaller than I had anticipated from the photos, a little too tiny in my opinion. The heater was also a little loud but the guy quickly came and adjusted it. The owners customer service was outstanding. It feels much more like a family bed and breakfast than a hotel in that respect. My kids felt so special that the owners remembered their names and said hi to them every time they saw them. The doors lock automatically behind you so we locked ourselves out at 3:30 in the morning when we went to go see the bugling elk, but the guy was there within minutes to let us back in. Overall a really great stay and highly recommend.

Newly remodeled rooms equipped with everything you would need. This is about a 10 minute drive from the entrance to RMNP and a 10 minute drive to town. There is also a great restaurant and shopping center within walking distance. Check in and checkout was easy. The one downside were the beds were really hard.

Stayed here a couple nights while we visited Rocky Mountain National Park. Very quiet motel. No early check in allowed. Office opens at 3:30 sharp to get keys. No frills place. Restaurant next door, but pricey. Not walking distance to main town shops.
