My husband and I picked Rocky Mountain National Park for our mini-moon right after we got married in Boulder, and McGregor Mountain Lodge was the perfect rustic little home base for us (and you can't get any closer to the park gates!). We got the Knotty Pine room 8A, where multiple reviews deemed as the one with the best view,... More

What a fun surprise to travel thru Rocky Mountain National Park from Breckenridge and find a 1 night vacancy welcoming dogs! We tried to book in advance and 3 night minimum. Bridgette the innkeeper is so welcoming and made us feel right at home. 5 stars Very clean and simple. Loved sitting on the porch in the adirondack chairs. Wood... More

We chose McGregor since it is so near the entrance to RMNP and has such cute cabins. We were not disappointed. In fact, Bridgette, the innkeeper, helped make this the best visit I have ever had to Estes Park! Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit; Roomy, comfortable, clean, really nice. We had a picnic table, Adirondack chairs... More

Thanks for taking the time to share with others your experience here at McGregor! We certainly hope the meteor shower did not disappoint! I was outside the other night walking the dogs and was pleased to see a shooting star traverse across the sky for what seemed to be longer than I had ever seen before. Certainly the weather could... We loved our stay at McGregor's! We stayed in Cabin #2. It has 2 bedrooms, plus a comfy sleeper sofa, and was perfect for our group of 5 people. It also has a nice living room and small kitchen with everything you may need to prepare your own food if you wish. The cabin also has a porch with a... More

First of all, I give McGregor Mountain Lodge itself 5 stars. The place is very clean and beautiful. You will find yourself submerged in a world of nature with many visits from elk, deer, and hummingbirds. The views from our chalet were magnificent and the swing seats kept us more than happy many hours of the each day. The reason,... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review...as we work hard to manage the calendar and keep our property full, it is difficult at times to deal with family emergencies that cause changes in peoples plans. More often than not, I find us re-renting cabins and refunding, at least partially stays, even though cancels occurred well within our 7... More

Great place to stay with beautiful scenery views. Had a large Elk bed down under our bedroom window one day. Very close to the entrance of Rock Mountains. Nice kitchen from having breakfast in the morning. Perfect for two families sharing two units together.

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us here at McGregor! Indeed, its that time of year that the elk are starting to show up more and more regularly. We had 3 large bull elk right on the top side of the property behind the Cedar Lodge suites just yesterday afternoon. It is always fun to see... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the old caretakers lodge. Everything was very clean and just as they promised it would be. The pull out couch is where we put our oldest and it was definitely one of the most comfy mattresses of that kind I've ever laid on. The people working there were always very friendly and willing to... More

We recently had the pleasure of spending 10 nights at McGregor Mountain Lodge. This was our 3rd time staying there. The cabin was so clean, location was great and my husband enjoyed going down to the office in the evening for a decaf coffee and chocolate chip cookie. Their newest staff member, Bridgette, is awesome. She was so friendly and... More

Outstanding facilities (stayed in Columbine cabin); comfortable bed; well equipped small kitchen; friendly, responsive staff; perfect location away from, but close to town & trails. Staff knowledgeable about RMNP & lots of info/books in lobby.

Enjoy frequent visits from our resident wildlife that include large bull elk, mule deer, foxes, coyotes, and the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep.
