I booked this hotel before traveling to Estes Park. My reservation was accepted but had several questions. I tried calling and leaving messages as well as emailing for someone to contact me. No one ever responded. Finally decided to contact the Estes Park Chamber of Commerce to see if they knew anything about this hotel and was it even open. ( The last review for it was late June 2020.) After the Chamber called them, I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled. I was thankful it was cancelled because by this time I was concerned. After arriving in Estes Park, it looked like the Haber Motel was shut down. Thank goodness we were able to book somewhere else. Lack of communication by the owner and/or management is the reason for the rating.
The room is very nice, clean, large, spacious and comfortable. The location with amenities all around is perfect. The Owner is very accommodating and helpful. One evening we even saw a heard of Elk walk slowly down the street.
My family and I stayed at this hotel at the end of June 2020. The owner, RJ, stayed in contact with us throughout, making sure that everything was perfect. Any slight problem that we had (the door keypad was a bit funky) was solved immediately. The room was spacious, with room for all of our gear, our work stuff, room for dining and everything. The beds were very comfortable in our double room, and we had no problems falling asleep after a long day of hiking. The bathroom seemed new and recently remodeled, and was very clean. Location was very good, with easy walking to all of the good spots in Estes, along with Safeway for groceries (fair warning: Google Maps gives the entrance in the wrong space). Very close to Rocky Mountain National Park as well. Overall, if I return to Estes Park, there is no way I would pick any other hotel. From the service from RJ, to the quality of the rooms and its great location, I can't imagine there's a better place to stay in Estes.…
Right in the heart of downtown Estes. We were able to walk to all restaurants and shops. The room was clean and comfortable. When we checked in, RJ made us feel welcome; like we were a member of the family. This is the first time we were ever told we could check out later than the scheduled checkout time. What a pleasant surprise! The only downside is that there are only 6 units so we could hear a man coughing all night on our first stay. Otherwise, we will definitely be back.
RJ was amazing! He gave us great tips and recommendations on where to eat. The room was very clean and spacious. I loved the gas fireplace! Very close to RMNP. We even got to see elk from our window, such a neat experience.
