I get the fact that some folks appreciate the history here but nothing trumps stinky bathrooms and dirty bathtubs. In my room the carpet was dark green which emphasized the fact that no one bothered to vacuum. Sheets were clean but after seeing the bathrooms...More
Let's be clear, this place is charming. The views are awesome and the place is quirky and interesting. It's by far, in our opinion, better to stay in a place with this much charm than in a bog-standard motel//lodge BUT there are some drawbacks. The...More
This historic Inn is minutes from Estes Park, Colorado. Far enough away to truly get away from it all, but close enough to make a perfect stay while visiting Estes. My family stayed in one of the cabins surrounding the inn, it was great for...More
We stayed here for a few nights recently and felt we had chosen the best possible accommodations in Estes Park. Rustic, antique, simple, friendly. Beautiful porch with comfortable rockers, sofas and other seating to sit and catch breezes. Great, young staff and wonderful owner.

I overheard them telling someone that they prefer reservations so that they can plan accordingly. They have a large dining area but the lodging and those overnight residents create the major workload for the crew of young staff. Breakfast is included if you stay overnight and the day I was there it was very busy. I think lunch or dinner is not as crowded. If you are in the area and want to have a meal there I would recommend a reservation to be safe.

"The Wrangler cabin was fun. Didn't visit any guest rooms in the main lodge."
