Could be a fabulous place. This wonderful Inn felt like an aging relative who had been woefully neglected. Floors and bathrooms were dirty, it looks like it was last painted 30 yearas ago, the windows had no screens. The young staff were lovely and helped me find a trail to hike and looked after my food requests but the owner...

Nestled in the side of a mountain just outside of Estes Park, The Baldpate Inn is a charming lodge with cottages on the grounds. There is no elevator and the rooms in the lodge are on the 2nd floor. Community bathrooms are clean and accessible and there are several. Visitors are encouraged to come downstairs in the evening in pjs...

We visited this 99 year-old inn for dinner. Our dinner included a choice of two homemade soups, a salad bar, and several kinds of homemade bread. It was all wonderful and reasonably priced, but what we enjoyed just as much was the atmosphere of this unusual place. Look them up online to read their history, and while there, visit their...

The Bald Pate Inn was a wonderful home base for a hiking vacation in the Rockies. Many trail heads are close by, the food is great, the staff warm and friendly and the building itself is very comfortable and full of interesting history.

had a reservation, sister in law passed. I cancelled, they charged me and then booked and charged another patron for the room. I could have just been a no show and not given them the opportunity to re-book. failed to respond to my inquiry after the fact. just not right

What a quaint, rustic inn. About 100 years old, it is still in the style of the early 1900s. The beds were super comfortable, and the room charming. It felt different having to share bathrooms and showers, but again, as it was 100 years ago. A three course Breakfast was offered, with fresh fruit and a muffin to start. For...

One of my favorite places, the beds are not large, the bathroom is down the hall but oh the view and the ambiance. This is where I come back to again and again. You have to not be fussy about privacy (think about who you might encounter on your way to the shower), but the view cannot be beat and...

We truly loved our time at The Baldpate. We were impressed with the staff who were student interns from all over (the country & the world). They were respectful and friendly. The Balldpate hosts little presentations each Wednesday evening. The week we were there the student intern/museum curator gave a presentation on The Seven Keys of Baldpate, where it gets...

We were trying to find lodging near Calypso Cascades hiking trail and came across the Baldpate Inn. I have seen the lodge from the highway for decades and was always curious about it, but, had never stayed. It was a wonderful surprise! Not only was the rate more reasonable than any of the Estes hotels, it included a wonderful gourmet...

I hadn't properly researched this inn prior to our arrival or booking for that matter, so I was unprepared for the rusticity of The Baldpate. It was built in 1917, so you feel like you've not stepped, but leapt back in time. You'll lose yourself in this place if you allow it. It's charm is undeniable. It's lack of amenities...
