We stayed at the Historic Crags Lodge during a 5 day hiking trip around Rocky Mountain National Park. From check-in to check-out we felt more than welcomed and enjoyed every min of our stay. The staff: Every person we encountered throughout our stay was very warm and welcoming. Any question we had was awnswered way beyond what we could have... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Historic Crags. The price as a great deal and the location was nice because it was on the side of a hill away from the business of town. The hotel doesn't have air-conditioning and the room was miserably hot. I understand that it was late July, but it was awful. Cold shower... More

Stayed here in June 2016 and had a nice room with a back porch area and great view. The restaraunt inside the inn was not good, expensive and simply disappointing (but also very lovely views of the mountains).

This is part of the Diamond Resorts portfolio and is not up to the standard expected from them. The carpet in the room we had was badly stained in numerous places with what looked like bleach. The lack of aircon was a big disadvantage. As per most Diamond Resorts properties you need a car to dine outside the hotel. Would not... More

My friend has a time share here and invited me along. The hospitality was on point! Rooms were nice and comfy. If you happen to use the pull out bed, just know that they are really hard! The fridge in the room is just a small dorm fridge and for some reason there aren't many electrical outlets in the kitchen... More

Visited over Memorial Day and had a great time. The staff was excellent and always went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay in the hotel and Estes Park in general. The rooms left a little to be desired, but all things considered I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights out of a 5 week road trip & this was one of the best places we stayed. Lovely setting, felt safe leaving the car parked outside. The staff are amazing, so helpful & attentive. Lots of nice little touches. Room is clean and very cute, my girlfriend loved it. A chipmunk got into our room and... More

We stayed for only one night(we booked for two but we missed our kids to much to stay the two nights) we had a small suite with a kitchenette and a queen bed it was very cozy. With this hotel being The Historic Crags Lodge it is a little out dated but it still has its original charm. The staff... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The lodge is ideally located in the heart of Estes Park on the north side of Prospect Mountain and only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Breathtaking mountain views surround you making this the prefect location for your mountain wedding. The landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park is the steepest in the United States. Sixty mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high result in world-renown scenery and provide challenges for hikers and climbers. The extreme topography creates an amazing range of ecological zones within a short distance, similar to the changes that would be seen in a drive from Denver to northern Alaska. ... more   less
