This place was great! The place was very clean and welcoming. We over packed thinking we needed towels, utensils, plates, and pots and pans when we didn't. The one thing I thought was weird was emptying our own trash. I was confused on where I was taking it to. A good idea could be to at least put the trash together and leave it in the room when it is cleaned. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back.
My husband and I stayed at the Stone Brook Resort the celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and could not be happier with our experience. Not only was the location perfect but the room exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean and you could tell that the staff went above and beyond in making sure that everything was perfect. Since the river was right outside our room, we opened the window at night to have the bubbling sound lull us to sleep. We will definitely visit next year!
We stayed here 5 years ago and absolutely loved it so when our vacation plans abroad fell through we decided this would be the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday. We spent a wonderful week staying in cottage #3. We love everything about this place...the scenery, the privacy and especially love sleeping with the windows open while listening to the stream flowing behind our cottage. We will definitely be back again and again!!!
We stayed in Unit 2 for our 20th wedding anniversary. This resort was perfect. The rooms are rustic and super clean. The property is beautiful with a river running behind it. The hot tub was a perfect way to end a long day of hiking in the national park. Unit 2 was on the end so it was nice for privacy. I would recommend this place without a doubt. If you are concerned about COVID, don't be at this hotel. There was no contact with the staff. All the communication was online. The only public areas were outside. Entries are all private so there is minimal interaction. Since everyone is on different schedules we barely saw anyone else.
First off, let me point out some things we enjoyed: 1. No children allowed, so it's very quiet and tranquil. 2. No visitors, so there's no loud parties. 3. Wonderful in-room jacuzzi tub. 4. Full kitchen. 5. Sound of the river heard throughout the entire unit (really quite lovely). 6. The location is pretty awesome - close to town and to RMNP. All of the above being said, it was far from perfect: 1. With #1 above, whoever lives on-site (the owner?) had children running around outside the last day we were there. I understand that is their home, but the kids were screaming bloody murder and it was very unpleasant. 2. The pots and pans in the kitchen were functional but very old, 3. Not all of the blinds worked. This made blocking out the moon at night in the upper bedroom basically impossible (and it was very bright while we were there). All in all, none of these are a *huge* deal. Some of the views mentioned Sleep Number beds - not in our unit. Spring bed, very average. The reason I'm giving 3/5 instead of 4/5 is because of the rules: 1. You must empty your own garbage, or be charged a cleaning fee. 2. You must load & run the dishwasher before you leave, or be charged a cleaning fee. Neither of these are a huge deal, but when you're charging $230+ a night and calling yourself a resort, this is not really okay. I didn't pay to stay at an Airbnb. We'll probably be back - we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but the rules leave a bit to be desired (plus the screaming children - "rules for thee but not for me?").…
