We usually stay at the crescent beach motel... but unfortunately the night we were to stay there they had to close. So we had to look for another place. The Manager right away started quoting us the highest price (179.00) he could for the fanciest room. We usually pay under 100.0

The jets in the tub are black with grime. Someone else’s garbage is behind the nightstand. It’s extremely plain and dated for the price compared to other hotels. Check in was good. This place needs a major renovate to justify the price

what do you mean by strange?
Someone may have used the word "strange" because this is not a cookie cutter hotel like a new Hampton Inn Or Holiday Express that looks the same whether you are in New York or California. It is not the newest or prettiest hotel in the USA>

Can you see the Ocean (a good view when staying in Ocean Front King room??
Our room was on the end so we had a partial view. As I remember all rooms are on the ocean side, none face the parking lot. Set up like a boomerang so every room looks out to the ocean.
