We stayed for one night in this motel with its famous history. Photographs in the lobby show the single gigantic redwood that was used for building it. However, the complex is only partialy made of redwood. The lodge is located opposite the fishermen's harbour. The architecture of the complex is quite modern. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable...

Listed at $45 to $65 a night, Cost us $77. She told us we were getting a really good deal when we called. Go anywhere down the street and for $15 to $20 more get a hair dryer, a microwave, a TV that's not too small to really see from the bed, an extra pillow or two, a bed that's...

I agree with many of the other reviews about this property. Clean large rooms but stuck in the 1950's. Friendly staff and decent value.

There are large clean rooms. Ours had a bed, table & vanity with TV. The room was very clean but there was a musty odor; perhaps from the vents. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is an older motel with no frills but they do have free Wi-FI. Sea Lions bask on a dock at the pier right across...

An extremely well maintained 1958-era motel. Clean, with very large rooms. I had trouble accessing the internet wirelessly, but suceeded in connecting directly to the modem. Good ice machine and friendly front desk. Most of the parking is covered or partly covered -- a real benefit in the rain. No shampoo. Rather than just taking Hiway 50 thru the city,...

Compared to the motel 6 in town the staff was nice and the rooms were older but clean. I slept better here than I did at Holiday Inn. Not bad for the money

I stayed with my wife and 3 kids in one of their two-room suites on our way up the Oregon coast for spring break. Prices was reasonable, and the room was large. Beds were decent (not my memory foam at home, but not as uncomfortable as most cheap motel/hotel beds). Furnishings and decor were dated, but clean and comfortable. My...

Very simple accommodations -- Friendly service, queen bed in a large room with a couple chairs and a small TV, but for the price it's fine. Very clean, free WiFi. Something of a step into the past.

I stayed with my sister in one of their two-room suites. Prices were very affordable. Furniture was great and made me feel like I was stepping back in time. Real glasses in the bathroom a plus for me. I would definitely come back for one reason: the manager. He was SUPER friendly and accommodating. He had great tips on local...

Quaint place, give it a look. Large rooms, very clean, reminds me of roadside motels from traveling in 60's and 70's. Beds could be more comfortable, rather too firm. Worth the price and would stay there again for the price.
