The room was clean and everything was comfortable! The view is pretty! Everything in the room is very convenient. The sheets are crisp and clean. The desk area was helpful as I sometimes work virtually! The walk to the ocean is very short.

The architectural and nostalgia features were what drew us to this motel. If you’re interested in staying in a time capsule, this place is for you. Otherwise you might be dissatisfied if you want higher-end amenities. In COVID times, there is not coffee available; I think previously it was in the lobby and now the lobby is closed. The diner across the street does great takeout and has coffee, though. Bed was OK; the walls are thin between rooms as it is an older facility. If you want things like tubs or pools I’d look at the the Bayview Inn or Best Western. If you want a view, maybe Oceanfront Lodge. But this was a fun way to show our kids an old-fashioned motor inn, and to see the redwood decor.

If you don’t need all the bells and whistles this is a great place as very historic and unique. Room was simple, but clean which is a top priority for me. Due to Covid no coffee or anything extra so bring your own coffee. Microwave and frig in room which was great. No smoking allowed and must go outdoors which is another plus.

Not a friendly place nor dd it feel particularly Covid safe. Very worn and old including poor quality bedding and bath linens. Such minimal amenities - no mini shampoo/conditioner, the cheapest and lowest quality of bedding, the one mini amenity of body lotion. Unfriendly check-in. No mask wearing at reception or around property. When asked for a restaurant recommendation I was told "across the street". When asked if there were any others was told "across the street". Would not go back.
