I did not stay here but booked the hotel for a relative who was going to be working in the area for 7 weeks. The owner was so accommodating and couldn't do enough to put my mind at ease that she would save the room for him no matter what time he arrived. The report I got was: friendly staff, good food and a great place to stay

Unfortunately not what we hoped... Very old, outdated, broken-down feeling rooms. NOT remodeled like we expected and we were in 2 different rooms! I did not feel comfortable staying here but we decided to try to tough it out. Hotel was very dark and dingy and dirty. The halls and stairs looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. And the elevator was out of order so we had to carry all our luggage up many flights of stairs to the 4th floor. That night we went to turn the radiator/heater on and it blew fire out of bottom and started smoking. We immediately checked out, as we were terrified it would start on fire while we were sleeping! Very dangerous, but its a 40+ year old heater so shouldn't even be in the rooms. The gal at the front desk said it happens all the time. What?! A seriously unsafe situation. Stay at your own risk! On a good note, the staff were all great, although it was very understaffed at the hotel, but they were all very nice and hardworking. I really wanted to love this place. It was on our bucket list and we had wanted to stay there for so long and were so excited to finally go. It was so disappointing...

Loved this beautiful old hotel. Very comfortable and the owner was super helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 308. Said to be haunted and it proved to be true. I recommend visiting this historical building.

This was a wonderful experience love it and can't wait to go back the staff was so friendly and very helpful and also gave us great history about the place and showed us around😄 The food was delicious and big portions and great price. We stayed in Room 308 and had some very crazy things happen that where unexplainable has in paranormal but nothing harmful. We had a family emergency and had to cut r stay which was sad but they helped us and made everything right. Thank you so much and already have plans to be back love it 😍

This is such a lovely property. The rooms have tall ceilings, claw foot bathtub, period furnishings, door "keys" not cards and came with breakfast included (at least in our package). There are two restaurants in the hotel: Cal's Coffee Shop & the Lounge. The hotel is on Main St in downtown Pipestone.
