I have stayed twice at the facility. Once in March and once in April, both on points. When using your points, the property gets credit from Marriott for the free night. In this case, it is $29.61. They bill Marriott for this amount. Instead, they billed my credit card. It is 90 and counting, and I am still waiting for them to credit my credit card back for both stays. This is following several calls to the hotel where my messages have been unreturned, I spoke with 2 people who told me the assistant manager will take care of it, and last week a call to corporate, to complain. And guess what? Still no credit to my credit card. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company, which, no doubt the property will not have the ability to respond to but HORRIBLE customer service to not even return a call or fix the problem.

Caution, especially to those who book through third parties! We booked the hotel in April through Priceline.com for the Senior National Games, 6/12-6/18. When we arrived on 6/12 around noon, they told us no room available right now, we could wait till 3:00pm. At 3:30pm, they told us they were overbooked, there was no room for us. But they could put us to their other property which is 6 miles away, basically in the middle of nowhere, no senior game shuttle access at all (funny thing is they avoided giving me the name of the property, although I asked several times. They eventually printed out a google map for me with an address, still no hotel name.). They mentioned because we booked through the third party, they had nothing else to help, if I don't want to take their offer I need to talk to the Priceline .

I have had reservations at this hotel since August of last year for 4 rooms. We are in town for the National Senior Olympics. Since August the hotel realized there was going to be over 13,000 in town for these games!! They tried to email me and say they had raised the rates on our rooms. I called the Marriott Corporate offices and they said they could not do that. We called at the beginning of this week to confirm the reservations and they said we still had them. Some of our team members arrived today, they told them they were overbooked, after much discussion, the lady at the front desk turned her back on our team members, so now they are sitting literally outside on the sidewalk trying to find another hotel!!! They arrived around 12 noon and said all their rooms were already full!!! Not possible, as the games do not even start until Saturday. I know they just want to be able to charge the higher rate. Will never stay at another Merriott and will tell everyone we know (we have 5 teams traveling there) of this experience!!!

I find it ridiculous that you have to pay an overnight parking fee. Only $7, but come on... otherwise it is a typical Fairfield. It is conveniently located to the airport and food options. Drop the parking and I would have rated it higher.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip from Gallup and El Paso. The hotel is nice and fairly new build. The staff was very friendly and check in was fast. The room was room except for the bathroom. It was exceptionally small. It is the old Holiday Inn Express still and surprised to see it in a Fairfield that is so new. The sink is outside the bathroom door and there is no storage on either side of the sink. Thank God it was just me and not my wife with me and that I was only there one night. The toilet and shower are was tight. The water pressure was good. The bed was new and comfy and lots of TV channels. Internet was fast and worked good. Good lighting and lots of power outlets. The big issue is the quality of workmanship on the structure. It is rediculous how cheap they build these things. Walking barefoot the floor was so uneven under the carpet you could almost stub your toes. The floors must have small 2x4 instead of bigger. Had someone over me and it sounded like they were River Danancing. Thud thud thud.. Thud thud. Thuddd thuddd thuddd thudd. Thud. It is a nice hotel but there is just enough that makes it more than a one night stay questionable. If I had an early morning flight and needed to get to bed at 9 to get up early, I have no reason to believe I would get that sleep unless I was on the top floor or a miracle that no one was in the room above me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel with other travelers. I am so happy to know that you were happy with the staff and the encounters you had with them. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the building. As the GM, I am sure that you know that the building was not something that I personally had anything to do with. However, I have passed your comments along to the ownership group letting them know your concerns. Thank you for staying with us.
