Clean and comfortable rooms, good bar area and the location of the hotel is good for access to the airport, shopping malls and restaurants. In general a pleasant stay, but a few minor details could make this hotel great.

The air conditioning in the room is very loud, the pool area is a bit tired and is too small to swim. Also the alarm clock randomly went off at 5am on the final day of my stay and had no instructions on how to turn it off (and not just snooze it). Finally it's a bit disappointing that there is so much waste in the hotel, e.g. plastic cups in the gym area each individually wrapped in plastic bags, disposable cups for water in reception and only disposable cups in the rooms for coffee etc.

Hello Ben A- Thank you for your review and nice comments on our hotel. I will check into the AC in you room to see if there is anything we can do to quite it down some. I do understand we have several disposable products we do have a plan this year to eliminate as many plastic products as possible. In most areas we offer both, but understand we can also be doing more for the environment. One new option we have is if you choose not to have your room cleaned you can have a tree planted. I love this new initiative and hope many take part in it. Thanks again. Yours in Hospitality, Damen Kompanowski General Manager

The hotel was very accommodating in allowing me to check in early prior to 3 PM. Furthermore the staff was helpful and the facilities were great. Live music on Fridays and the restaurant prices were reasonable and the food was delicous. Bar staff was incredibly friendly and drinks were served promptly. Overall experience was excellent. I will definitely make this hotel my preferred place to stay when I visit Albuquerque once again.

In recent years I have seen a decline in the Sheraton brand and it clearly shows. The staff I encountered during my stay were all great but unfortunately for me the hotel lacks.

I usually stay in the ABQ Marriott but as a change a chose the Sheraton Uptown, I will stick with the Marriott in the future.

The rooms a pretty dated, the TV although a flat screen is pretty old now and time for an upgrade, no internet TV, Netflix etc, also it kept loosing signal. Old dark furniture in the rooms, no coffee/tea maker, plastic cups in wrapping, where are the glasses? Its so tacky drinking from a plastic cup. The microwave and refrigerator just dumped by a wall. No order to the room what so ever.

Seriously Sheraton get with the times update the hotel rooms and TV options.

The Suites are the only rooms next to the Elevators/cleaning cupboard. Why would you build a hotel with the most expensive rooms near the elevators/cleaners cupboard? I could hear constant elevator bonging/cleaners banging around each morning. It was also dark and probably the most boring room Ive ever had.

This Sheraton is totally lacking in quality and I do not recommend it at all.

The female hotel staff were not eager to accommodate needs for our pet and did not attempt to get us a room on the first floor. Breakfast vouchers were purchased for 3 people but only given for 2.

The parking lot is filled with signs warning guests to be vigilant with personal belongings.

The towel in the bathroom was used and had hair on it from previous guest. A soiled bandaid was found in the bathroom as well. A used packet of disinfectant wipes was left on the dresser in the room. Very poor attention to detail and cleanliness.

This has been the most unsatisfactory stay I’ve had at a Sheraton. We would certainly expect more from a 3-4 star hotel and have had exemplary experiences at any other Sheraton we’ve stayed at.

We loved our stay at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown! The manager and front desk clerks were superb and very helpful. We chose this hotel because of the EV charger and it worked great. It was important to us to see that the parking lot was brightly lit and we could see our car from our window. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the decor very attractive. We felt safe having dinner in the downstairs cafe because of all the precautions taken in light of the pandemic. The food was delicious, and it was wonderful to get good coffee drinks and breakfast snacks in the coffee cafe in the morning. We look forward very much to our next visit.

We stay at the Uptown a couple of times a year for the last 20 or so years. Since we have been Sheraton card members we get the 7the and 8th Club floors, which includes breakfast in the Club room, coffee and snacks during the day. There is also an evening snack and drinks except on the weekend.

In town for a short trip (3 nights) for a family wedding. This is where everyone stayed, so we really didn't have a choice. We asked for connecting rooms (because we have 2 pre teens) but didn't get one. The front desk staff didn't go out of their way trying to accommodate us. We didn't make a big deal because the short stay but it was not an impressive start. We are on the 7th floor which is good. We prefer higher floors. Rooms are worn and run down. There are stains on the carpet. Various dents and scratches on wall/doors/furniture. Walls are super thin. You can hear neighbors conversations, sneezing and etc. Services at the bar and restaurants were lovely. They were super helpful and catered to your needs. House keeping was decent. Overall, I would suggest you look some where else, on less location is super important to you. It's near a lot of shopping and restaurants. We have been loyal Westin now Marriott loyal members. Definitely had better experiences at other Sheratons.

Good Evening fatdawg, Thank you for your honest comments regarding your recent experience. We are pleased to hear that our staff was able to take care of you during your stay! In regards to our room locations, we have a very limited number of connecting rooms that are available on a first come, first serve basis. I am glad to see we were able to accommodate your rooms as close together as possible. Also, we are looking forward to a refresh of our guest rooms in the near future. We look forward to welcoming you back soon to the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown. Yours In Hospitality, Ivan Aguilar

This was one of the worst stays in a hotel I have EVER had. I’m not one to complain and definitely was not looking for an upscale experience but this stay was just ridiculous.

First off, we stayed in room 531. There is a 2” gap under the door. Not because the door is mounted wrong, but because the floor is actually not flat. You can feel it under the trashed carpet, and we felt off balance when walking around.

We arrived to a room that looked as though it had not been cleaned at all. Muddy childrens handprints on the inside glass of the sliding door that opens 2” onto a non-existent balcony. There was also trash under both beds, hair on the pillows and sheets, and the hvac unit sounded like a rolling bucket of rocks.

The mattresses were completely hammocked out, they were truly as bad as sleeping on the floor. The sheets on the beds were completely thread bare. The comforter was disgustingly filthy, it looked as though it had never been washed. There was blood, stains, and who knows what else on it.

I did not bring this to the attention of the front desk because the woman on duty was rude and confrontational even at check in.

Our room was not upgraded and there was no welcome amenity provided (standard for gold elite). Also, housekeeping was not even an option which seems absurd, at this point it has nothing to do with Covid protocols and everything to do with cost cutting.

Also, don’t expect a hot tub. The one in the property photos has been filled in with rocks and a fake tree placed on top.

I will avoid this property at all costs when visiting Albuquerque and I don’t feel right about being charged for this stay.

I stay at this hotel often and now that NM is open 100% the concierge lounge is still closed however they have a refrigerator with beverages and grab and go breakfast downstairs. The last two times I have stayed here in the last month, the AC units on the 8th floor are super loud to the point where you need earplugs to drain the sound out. This hotel needs some upgrades, the floors are soiled and this last time I stayed the sheets are very worn out. It’s time that this hotel makes an investment in some needed upgrades.

Awesome hotel & staff! Even amid all this craziness - this hotel is great! Before we even stepped in the building we had 2 gentlemen approach us (I believe they work in security) and offer for us to park our car at the front as we had some items traveling in the bed of our truck - such a kind offering and made us feel at ease!

Front desk & bar staff are great. We were so thankful the hotel bar was still open - do them a favor and order a drink or two to take up to your room, you’ll get to relax and these sales/tips mean SO much to them during this time.

Hotel was very clean, offered many sanitizer stations and was very prepared with the menus in the room and additional details. Plenty of restaurants and places near by as well!

Do yourself a favor and stay here!

They will come pick you up at hotel or our van can help get you over there. 5000 B San Mateo Blvd. ABQ 505.883.0300 The airport is also a good option. We make trips to the airport for crews so we could get you there to pick up your car.
