Our room was non smoking and smelled like a chain smoker had lived in it daily for 10 years. There was a huge gap under the door that let giant cow flies in our room all day and all night. The pool was open the day we checked in but the very next morning it was “closed because the chemicals haven’t dissolved” -that was a statement made by the older man at the front desk. One of the chairs in our room had a HUGE black stain on it that looked like either blood or an unfortunate bowel accident. The room was so tiny it was hard to move around in. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here as it appears that cleanliness and service are NOT priorities.

We are sorry that you had such an unpleasant stay. We are a non-smoking hotel and do our best to keep it that way however on occasion a guest may have smoked in the room. As to the cow flies, we are not aware of any until you raised it with us. For about a week we did have issues with moths however we cannot control mother nature. We are sorry that the pool was not open. We are concerned with the safety of our guests. We are also concerned that your room was not clean and will certainly take action to correct that. Thank you for letting us know.

Having discovered Red Roof Inn, as probably the best budget hotel chain min the country, I have been choosing it often in different places. We had stayed at the Red Roof in Albuquerque before when it was a perfect stop. This time I noticed some trash in the room behind furniture that had not been collected, The shower handle was finicky and hard too manage, And the breakfast is adequate, perhaps, but not great. It is still perhaps the best deal for the price, and was in multiple towns this last trip. But Midtown ABQ Red Roof needs to pay some more attention to some of the details.

Travelling through with my pet, 50 lb standard poodle. The room was on the main floor close to the front. The rooms were well kept, clean and comfortable. There was an area to walk the dog on lead. Overall, a good choice.

Very inexpensive, but the grounds and rooms were clean and kept up. Red roof inn does not have a pet fee or the completely ridiculous 20 pound maximum size that Choice and Wyndham seem to like these days. Just a cheap clean place to stay with my dog.

I gave this a five star rating solely based upon the service of management and staff!! Motels are basically all the same. The big difference is service. After checking out and traveling to the next stop we realized that our Samsung tablet was missing. I called the hotel and Juan at the front desk said that it was turned in and locked up in their safe. What a relief! He said to call back in the morning and speak with the manager. I phoned back and talked with Tinker, the manager. She was so helpful and suggested we get a shipping label from Fedex and she would have the tablet ready for pickup. We had a nightmare trying to organize with Fedex. We spoke with Tinker several times and she did everything possible to help but needed the label. Fortunately, we were able to have a friend come to the hotel and pick it up and send it to us. The point is that Tinker took personal interest in resolving the problem. This makes such a difference in this day and age.
