We visited the Red Horse Bed and Breakfast a couple of weeks ago. Darlene and Phil were perfect hosts. We felt so relaxed and like part of their family. We enjoyed visiting with their daughter and Carl was precious! Our room was very comfortable. The bed was probably the most comfortable "away from home" bed that we have ever slept in! The breakfasts were amazing. We were celebrating our forty-third wedding anniversary and were given a gift of Red Horse glasses to remember our stay. That was very thoughtful of them. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again. Treat yourself and visit - we know you will enjoy! Mary and Denny McGuire from Omaha, NE

My Love and I stopped by The Red Horse Vineyard Bed and Breakfast during a trip celebrating our One Year Anniversary recently, actually spending the night there ON our anniversary. We chose the English Rose Room based on the description and pictures we saw online, and they definitely didn't disappoint.
Darlene checked me in while My Love parked and got the bags. She made sure to introduce me to everyone we came across as she gave me the tour of her home, including the Billiard Room, which has a bar where you can find additional soft drinks should you need them, the lounge area, gift shop, dining room (where there were some yummy chocolate chip cookies!), and kitchen.
Our room was well appointed, with a super comfortable bed. The interior door had a numberpad lock, and the exterior door had a key, if you were to decide to take advantage of the hot tub, (due to thunderstorms that evening, we weren't able to partake). There was a chiffarobe with two robes available, though they appeared smaller in sizes. Not a problem, but worth mentioning for anyone wondering. There was also a mini fridge in the room with some drinks available, with no extra fees, which is always appreciated.
There was a roll in shower, as well as a shower seat for those who might need them, and shampoo, et al, were in dispensers on the wall of the shower. They also provided a lovely goat milk lotion, which I really wish had been travel sized so we could have taken it with us!
When we returned from getting dinner locally, they had turned on their wedding lights, and the whole place was SO pretty!
For breakfast, you can choose to eat on your private patio if you're downstairs, the front porch, or with others at the dining table. We decided to sit inside with the others, and Darlene and her family did a terrific job of setting us up so as not to be too crowded, with one from each couple on each end, their partner each toward the wall with a chair between the two, and a solo visitor on the window side. We arrived first and there was already zucchini bread on the table made using her daughter's winning recipe from 4H, followed by an egg frittata with spinach and Rotel, a slice of ham, and baked apples with walnuts.
I really wish we had planned to spend more than just the one night so would have had more time to just sit back and relax! Thank you all for your hospitality! Hope to see you again soon!

We have stayed at several B&B’s in Albuquerque and this is by far the best. A beautifully renovated historic adobe farmhouse, with welcoming and very friendly hosts Darlene and Phil. Our bedroom (the Sunrise suite) was very comfortable and extremely clean with a brand new bathroom, fluffy towels, bathrobes and prepared with great attention to detail so that everything that we needed was readily at hand (plus for those who need it, fast internet!). Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious, including homemade preserves from the farm. The farmhouse is fully of interesting art, furniture and family history, and surrounded by a lovely garden with huge old cottonwood trees. Very relaxing and peaceful with a feel of being in the country when you are actually only a few miles from the airport or from the old town. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I always make a point to stay here when I'm in town. The property, rooms, food and atmosphere are incredible and there's no other place like it! Owner/operators are super friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and do a fantastic job with the upkeep of the property and common areas (there's a pool table, hot tub, etc. for guest use and don't forget about the wine!). There is no better place to stay in Albuquerque or anywhere else in NM!

We had been on the road for five days and needed a break from the highway hotels. This was the perfect place to rest and re-energize. This working farm has a lot going on and the innkeepers are passionate about their work. They are also very interesting to talk with and made sure we were comfortable. The owners gave us a tour and history of the place. We were very interested in learning about it, but I think if you weren’t into chatting, they would certainly give you space. We really didn’t hear or see them except for the welcome and at breakfast. We had our first good cup of coffee (a full pot really) in a while and the breakfast was fantastic. It was made with eggs from their chickens and other local ingredients including fruit compotes from their orchard. The farm animals are adorable and interacting with them was a joy. The inn is clean and has all the amenities you'd expect in an upscale hotel. The air conditioning was perfect and the king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean. The room had a fridge, freezer, coffee maker and a nice bottle of filtered water (the water from the tap was fine to drink too.) We were a little concerned as we made our way through the neighborhood of homes that looked like they'd seen better days. But it's quiet and once you are at the farm, it's like you've entered another world. Totally worth driving a few extra miles from the highway to stay here.

We had a great time at Red Horse. I was here with my mom, and my BFF and her mom. Our only regret was not staying longer. The owners were gracious and inviting. They took specific care to accommodate our dietary requirements. The meals were delicious. We felt pampered having our meals served to us on their beautiful garden patio. We enjoyed the relaxing environment and learning about their pottery business and the history of the farm. My new favorite coffee cup is the one I bought from their gift shop.
The rooms had everything you could possibly need, including a mini fridge stocked with an assortment of drinks, Keurig, assorted coffees & teas. The bathrooms had robes and their handmade goats milk lotion. The owners really took care in thinking of their guests needs and making sure they feel at home. This was my first time ever staying in a real B&B so I was a little leary about what to expect, especially with the owners being on the property. It wasn't uncomfortable at all having them there. They were there if you needed them otherwise, they stayed out of your way. We felt completely safe. The rooms were impressively clean.
Keep in mind, this is not a 4-star hotel, it's a farmhouse. It looks and feels like a lived-in farmhouse. If you want upscale & modern go stay at a Marriott but I promise you will not the get the quality of service you will get here.
I will absolutely stay here again when I am in Albuquerque. I have stayed in plenty of 4 star hotels and I will take this over them any day.

This was my first-time visiting Albuquerque and I had such an amazing experience, which was largely due to my incredible stay at Red Horse B&B. The B&B sits on a beautiful piece of property that includes a hot tub, pool, and serene views, which I took in while sitting outside and sipping a hot cup of freshly made coffee. The B&B is a quick drive from the airport and the local downtown area, which made it very convenient as a home base. My room was clean, beautiful and had such a lovely and unique charm. Tony's breakfasts are (not an understatement) incredible! This was the perfect weekend away from the hustle of New York City. I look forward to coming back and visiting with Tony and his lovely family again. Will definitely return to the B&B, if not for anything else, then for Tony's waffles! Thank you for the fantastic service and an absolutely perfect stay!

This place was fantastic even in the middle of a freezing January. Our room was spacious and exceptionally comfortable. It even came stocked with soft drinks and filtered water. Snacks, including homemade cookies and fresh fruit, were available 24/7 in the dining room. The individual split heater in the room was quiet, did not blow directly on us and kept the room at a perfect temperature. The room came equipped with luxurious robes as well. The house is spacious with a pool table, lots of books and televisions (including one in the room) and a cozy fireplace. Breakfasts were delicious, something different, tasty and healthy every day. The innkeepers Darlene and her family are positively delightful. Red Horse is conveniently located just a few miles from the airport and major highways.

What a unique stay! Location is surrounded by trees making the stay very private, felt like a getaway from Albuquerque in Albuquerque! The owners were so nice and wanted you to feel at home. The room and dining area made me feel like I took a step back in time to the 60s/70s and I loved it. Red Horse being and bed and breakfast, I can tell you the breakfast was a great way to end the morning before checkout.

Amazing hospitality. Superior customer service. This was the most wonderful, comfortable, lovely experience. The home is filled with all kinds of amazing history and beautiful art that is handcrafted on site. There is something cool or pretty or fun to look at everywhere you look, but in a very curated, thoughtful way. The home has a lived-in, relaxed atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The sheets - super soft. And while I love all the homey comfort, when it comes to what’s important, it’s there. The bathroom is beautifully updated and clean, clean, clean! I had a great shower with delightfully fragrant soap, and stepping out onto the soft, luxurious bath rug was such a joy. All the little touches are there. Water and coffee, and a refrigerator with soda in the room. Makeup remover cloths and a dark towel. Delicious cookies downstairs that the “cookie fairy” refilled in the night. A tremendous amount of thought, energy and time goes into making this home so inviting. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have altered our travel plans to stay again on our way home. One note, GPS did not take us the best route and I was concerned. Those concerns were immediately refuted the moment we stepped inside. Then, we left for dinner and when we returned the home was beautifully lit and the spirit of Christmas abounded. I am sure when the flowers are blooming and the trees are leafed out it is gorgeous, but being here at Christmas was extremely special.
