I'm starting off my review with huge compliments to Chef Teddy. The breakfast and muffins she prepared were absolutely delish! We also had great conversation about ABQ. She is the best. After seeing the South Twins room in person, my guest and I would have fit comfortably in the room; however, since the photos were a bit deceiving (the room appeared to look smaller than it is albeit it is a small room), I chose to stay in the West Room so that my guest and I wouldn't be getting in each other's way. The property and rooms have a contemporary flare and are very functional. There is adequate lighting in the rooms. They provide robes, soap, shampoo & conditioner, cotton balls/pads/tips, makeup remover pads. Plenty of towels. Small fridge in the closet with a bottle of water. TV with my favorite channel (HGTV). On site parking. Pleasant upscale neighborhood with a few wineries close by. Short ride to Old Town. A few eating places about 5 min away. Gas station nearby. Only 10 min from I-25 (hwy to airport). I was able to reach the airport rental car drop-off within 20 minutes during morning rush hour (8am). I chose this place because not only are the rooms smoke-free but they also do not allow pets. There are a few things I would suggest in the room such as a clock, a bit more comfortable sofa bed, and thicker window coverings. Also, if you're a light sleeper, the noise from the water heater may be a nuisance when someone is running the water in the bathroom. It's not overly noisy but it is noticeable. I was sad that I didn't have an opportunity to meet Pilar, the property manager. We conversed via email and she seems very personable. Chef Teddy made up for it. I would definitely stay at Sarabande if I was to visit ABQ again. Hopefully I'll return during the warmer season so that I can enjoy the outside pool and grounds.

We spent several nights at Sarabande Bed and Breakfast during a trip to Albuquerque in March of 2019, and every aspect of our stay was outstanding. The beds were comfortable, and we had a charming private garden area just off the bedroom. But certainly the highlight was breakfast prepared every morning by Chef Rodney. Early risers found delectable fresh-baked muffins and hot coffee or tea waiting in the open-style kitchen. These were followed by a new culinary delight every day, sometimes with a Southwestern flair, with eggs made to order. Breakfast is our favorite meal, and Rodney's breakfasts were some of the best we've ever had. We prefer to stay at bed and breakfasts because it gives us a chance to meet interesting people, and while we ate, we enjoyed our conversations with Chef Rodney, on topics ranging from '60s music to food, life in Albuquerque, and raku pottery. What a warm and interesting guy! This is the reason we love to travel. We will definitely stay at the Sarabande next time we're in town.

I would rate this property five star except for a couple of issues we felt should be addressed. We stayed in the North Room which is very spacious; the bed is comfortable, and the room is attractive. The carpet however had stains; we always prefer to stay in rooms without carpet due to the wear and tear. The other issue is with housekeeping; on our second to last day we got a knock on the door from housekeeping rushing us to leave the room, so she could clean. My husband had not been feeling well that day and we were enjoying relaxing and not rushing as we do in our everyday lives. I would suggest doorknob cards stating do not disturb/please clean room as a solution. There were many positives, the property is beautiful and centrally located. The breakfasts were outstanding and Pilar is a very helpful and gracious host.

This is an outstanding B & B. It has a clean modern style with traditional southwestern touches. My wife and I stayed in the West suite which was wonderful. The B & B is located a northwest area of Albuquerque. Beautiful. The breakfasts were amazing. I would stay here again.
