Detailed Reviews
This historic home has been restored with an eye to preserving its history while providing modern and comfortable accommodations. We only stayed for two nights, but they were the best nights of sleep we had on our trip. We stayed in the Kings Parlour on the first floor. It has a super comfortable king-sized bed. The home is very clean, linens were top-shelf, and the shower had great hot water and water pressure. The hosts provided a couple of cans of local beer and water in our room’s refrigerator. The common areas include a coffee/tea bar (with lots of choices), fruit and some snacks. The front porch is a lovely area to enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail in the early evening. Location was perfect for exploring a few breweries and eateries within easy walking distance. We highly recommend El Cuervo ABQ!!

A beautiful jewel, for sure. Our first stay at a B&B has converted us! Exceptionally personable and engaging Staff is evident as soon as you enter. Kudos to Stephanie, Bradley and Jenni. Any room on second floor is deluxe, one with balcony, each with singular style and all with comforting amenities. Custom breakfast selections, daily fresh baked goods for snacking. Great local advise to meet travelers needs included. Location is perfect for bikes (available on site) and hikes. Convenient access (just blocks) to Old Town, Downtown, business, art, zoo, quality restaurants, and tons of parks. Both indoor and outdoor gathering areas to mingle or quietly unwind. Dog friendly, too! We will return as soon as possible, hopefully for balloon festival in the fall!

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. El Cuervo is conveniently located within walking distance of both Old Town and Downtown, and if you have a car there is a dedicated lot right behind the B&B. The contactless check-in was seamless and was super convenient, as our flight arrived late at night and we checked-in close to midnight (something a standard B&B might have objected to). The room we stayed in was Mr Mauger's Office, which was a beautiful space with a big bed and modern bathroom fittings. The street is quiet at night, but nearby is an elementary school so if you sleep in you might hear the kids playing.
Although it is billed as a bed and breakfast, El Cuervo doesn't offer breakfast aside from complimentary coffee/tea and granola bars. This was no issue for us, as we were out each day doing things and eating out at the many great cafes and restaurants of Albuquerque, but I felt it was important to clarify if you're looking for a more conventional B&B. If that's not a dealbreaker, then we can't recommend El Cuervo highly enough. We had a fantastic time visiting ABQ and enjoyed our stay at El Cuervo immensely.

This was the perfect spot to stay while we visited Albuquerque. The home is beautifully restored and the rooms were cozy. The Brothel ( name of the room) had plenty of room to spread out and even a blanket on the couch and a cold beer and water in the fridge!. The shower had great pressure and warm water. The downstairs common area had a coffee bar and snacks. We were able to walk to a few breweries and restaurants within 5- 10 min and Old Town was a quick 5 min car ride. Did you know there are buildings there from the early 1700's? The owners were very responsive to questions I had. We enjoyed this home and would stay here when we return to ABQ.

We spent a week in the Brothel Suite (2nd floor) while my husband attended a work conference. We loved the off-street parking, quiet neighborhood and quiet room, as well as the beautiful woodwork and character of the historic home. You can't get that vibe at a chain hotel! Breakfast was just coffee, tea, granola, oranges, and packets of instant oatmeal, but there was a larger fridge in the room, so we were able to buy some groceries at a local supermarket (walkable, on Lomas). Choose items carefully, though; the refrigerator has no freezer section. The shower off the livingroom was nice, with 2 showerheads. The bed was not firm enough for my back (and after a week, it hurt), but I loved the porch room it was in, having plenty of natural light and an excellent air conditioning unit that kept it very comfortable, even in a heat wave. Our hosts were gracious and friendly. The local beers were a nice touch.

Room Tip:Â Because the floor squeaks a bit, you are probably better off with the second or third floor room....

Bradleigh and Stephanie could not have been more gracious or communicative hosts! House was adorable, cozy and clean.
My sister and I stayed for two nights during the week and enjoyed the convenience of being downtown. We both got tied up with work during the check out time, and Brad was so accommodating — letting us loiter in the common space for hours after we cleared our room! 💎💎💎
Highly recommend staying at El Cuervo. Can’t wait to go back !

Our best B&B experience ever. Great location within easy walking distance to downtown Albuquerque.
Beautiful estate home with the charm of over a century ago, but in fantastic condition. The parlor with TV and fireplace is so relaxing. The beds are luxurious and it would be hard to get out of them in the morning if not for the wonderful breakfast that awaits.
To top it all off, the owners, Leigh or Stephanie, are so friendly and a delight to meet and talk with.
Highly recommended!

Beautiful, Gorgeous historic home with charming surroundings. The warmth and kindness of hosts Leigh and Stephanie was heartfelt as soon as we walked in. Yummy muffins as we checked in and my husband enjoyed the brew! Our room was lovely, comfy bed and pillows and wingback chairs to watch TV. A very scrumptious breakfast (awesome breakfast burritos!) in the inviting sunny breakfast room. Everything was PERFECT!!! We could not have asked for a better experience. We only had a short walk to explore Old Town Albuquerque and so much enjoyed walking the historic neighborhood that Mauger Estate is a part of. This place is a true gem; a very special delightful home that we will always remember! This is the only place you ever need to stay at when visiting Albuquerque. We were so fortunate to have discovered our home away from home. If I could give a ton more stars I would. THANK YOU Leigh and Stephanie!!! And hugs to Neptune and Llilly!

What a wonderful and eclectic boutique hotel! My husband and I stayed for just one night and loved it. We stayed in The King’s Parlour when we came up for a New Mexico United game.
We came a little early (30 minutes before check in) and they accommodated us graciously. Beer and water in the fridge was great on a hot day! Beautifully renovated and wonderful antiques and art from local artists. We’d highly recommend! P.S. New Mexico won their game which was an added bonus!
