I wanted to like this hotel but I had a rough night. The Good: Professional, nice staff Some big beautiful open spaces Very clean room Large, beautiful real plants The Bad: I tried parking out front to check in but it was full of what looked like maintenance vehicles, so I kinda parked, and hopped out. Once I found the front desk, no one was there, so I rang the bell.... and no one came. I pulled around to the parking garage and it's got big gates on it. I called the number on the sign and they answered right away and buzzed me in. No signage to find the entrance from the parking garage, but eventually I did find it. I made a reservation online a week beforehand via the hotel's website but staff couldn't find it in the system Staff couldn't give me the rate I reserved at There's a $100 deposit for the room upfront, on top of your reservation No signage, other than in the parking garage (Hotel is not responsible for damage or theft) Drug paraphernalia in the parking garage Room was cold, cold despite me bumping up the heat. Some electric outlets didn't work, most were loose and couldn't hold a plug in for long. Towels were clean but very scratchy Good water pressure in shower but it's 1 big stream, like a firehose. No wifi (I could see the node but it had 0 bars on both my phone & laptop) Ancient TVs and no channel guide, not all buttons on remote worked I had an ice bucket but no idea where the ice machines were (no in room map, no signage) The free breakfast has high ratings & I looked forward to their breakfast burrito. Sadly, they didn't have any potatoes (because they didn't have any butter to fry them up in - which made me wonder what they were using to make the eggs....). So I had a toasted bagel, which was sad compared to the breakfast burrito I had been dreaming about. No place within the hotel to get sodas, snacks, incidentals. Big sign out front, 'Move-in Special!' so I asked - there's about 10 residents in the hotel. Is it a hotel or an apartment building? The Ugly: I had reserved 2 nights but after 1 night, I knew I couldn't stay there another night, so I requested 1 night's refund, along with my $100 room deposit back. 9 days later, I'm still waiting for the 1 night refund. Barcelona has been polite but unhelpful.

I recently had an extended stay at this hotel..they are currently doing a lot of remodeling so some issues are expected. The staff that I dealt with were wonderful except for AnnMarie. She has flat out called people liars for many things as she also did to me. On my stay there, I did not have heat. No working ice machines. When I went to do laundry I found that the dryer did not heat up so what should have cost me a minimal fee ended up costing 3 times as much. On my second visit, 7 days, there was no hot water for the entire time that we were there. When I spoke to AnnMarie about this, I was told that the rates are already cheap enough and I shouldnt expect more. Upon check out, she tried to say that we took a remote to a tv. I told her exactly where it was, I insisted that we went back up together and there it was. Her actions are going to cost this particular hotel a lot of clientele in the future. So I say to the new owners, is this really the kind of business manager you want running a hotel that could be doing so much better if she just showed an ounce of class or respect for the people that choose to spend their hard earned money in your establishment? I look forward to going back someday but will not return as long as AnnMarie is there. You have several other wonderful candidates that work there, maybe you should consider making one of them the general manager. Afterall, aren't you trying to attract business?

Dear Tina, Unfortunately Tina you and your daughter were placed on DNR, Do Not Rent status. Yes we are under complete renovation, and some issues are ongoing until issue has been resolved, hot water being the issue in this case has been resolved for the guests and is currently getting full upgrade to avoid future problems. During your daughters stay, her guests smoked in room, climbed out of the window onto the balcony which is not a working balcony, in addition, when I brought this to your attention, you not only became irate but verbally abusive which put you on DNR status. You were notified at the time of check in about our hot water issues and you checked in stating not a problem. I notified you about your daughter and that I would not extend you, you demanded a discount for water issue. I am sorry Tina, you were offended by my response to your behavior, however; I was at all times respectful despite your response. We wish you safe travels and good luck.

In the beginning this hotel was very nice. The rooms are very nice, but the was no hot water, the toilet kept getting clogged, and when we first stayed here the was no warm heat. We didn’t care to complain knowing they are trying to remodel ext. but when we asked to have a discount the front lady Amber or whatever her name was, suggested that we should be happy with what we have in the first place and that she’ll throw some breakfast in. And 2 days before that they try to accuse my daughter for smoking in the rooms, so when they had sent someone up there to inspect, they didn’t even apologize for the miss understanding. And so when we checked out they never gave my id back so I had to end up getting a cab all the way back over there for there mess up. I try to explain to corporate everything and they said they would give me a call back before 12 and that was an hour ago and still no call. Everyone else is very kind there, but the front desk lady is very rude and need to be fired or put in check, because this type of service is in called for!!

started out with seeing a person smoking either out of either a meth of crack pipe in the parking garage and things did not improve much from there. The staff was unhelpful with an issue I had on changing a reservation and stated that I would have to speak with a manager who would be on at 0700 the next morning. I returned to the front desk multiple times asking to speak with a manager during times I was told there would be one on duty and was told she was not there or not available every time. Cleaning crew disregarded the do not disturb sign and left the heat on max, 90 degrees in the room.

Dear Jimmy, I apologize you did not enjoy your stay. Our property is a non smoking property, we do not have control over people smoking in their vehicles, however; we do have night security and the garage is closely monitored for any inappropriate activity. I have an open door policy when I am on property, I apologize you were not seen in a timely manner. All DND signs are observed and recorded by management and posted for all staff to view. I have never had a room accessed with a posted DND sign. We appreciate your time and hope to see you again soon. Thank you for your comments.

The hotel is being redone they are waiting for new furniture for 50 rooms the hotel is in a central place,easy to get to many sites and shoping,easy access to freeways.the staff is very helpful and friendly.they are doing a lot of remoldeing, the place will be great when they are done.
