We are gold-elite with IHG, I wish we’d had known the conditions of this hotel before wasting points/ Award nights on a much needed currently in the middle of being remodeled hotel. Besides the fact our room needed the revamp extremely bad, we also had a few issues during our stay...There was NEVER anyone at the front desk, ever..we needed the room key cards re charged multiple times , even multiple times daily. (Only once did someone ask for our last name while obtaining the new key) ,Placed us in a loud part of the hotel on ground floor. Luke warm showers with not much water pressure, uncomfortable bedding/ sheets & towels old and worn, also worth noting during the stay there seemed to be people just "hanging out" in the lobby, not guests , friends os staff? not sure but seemed a little sketchy. Previous to this stay , we had decided to try and stick with Holiday Inn to accumulate points, etc. as we also enjoy the app for checking in on our bill and checking out of the hotel. On the check out date we had to leave at 6:30 AM, of course nobody was at the front desk, I tried to use the app and found that feature is unavailable for this hotel. So basically nothing about this stay was even close to being below average for holiday inn standards. Lots of competition these days and after this experience I will be hesitant booking another Holiday Inn property. At the very least I would highly suggest waiting for the remodel to be complete before booking this location.

Hello buffaloMT, We appreciate you taking the time to provide us your feedback. We are acknowledging the concerns you have raised; we apologize for the experience. We are currently in the process of renovating the property to give our guests a unique and fresh experience of what IHG has to offer. However, we should not use this as an excuse to provide you with room that is in the state of cleanliness you mentioned and service that is not hospitable and welcoming, most especially to a IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite member. It is our commitment to provide transparent, efficient and friction less experiences for guests and making the necessary changes would help us provide a better experience in the future. Your observations have been raised with our Management team, so they can look into it more closely. This will go a long way in helping us keep up with our guests, like you, who look for brilliant basics and seamless experiences who need a simple, engaging place to rest, recharge and get a little work done. I hope you will give us a chance by staying with us again to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception. Safe travels. Hector P Case Manager IHGService

First of all, I would like to say the front desk people were helpful and courteous. We went to the Santa Fe/Albuquerque NM area to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Our stay in Santa Fe was wonderful. However, we spent the night here and the next morning, we found out our new car had been broken into. I understand that you park there at your own risk, but I believe that they should have better lighting all around and better cameras. There was a camera in the back, but it only showed half of our car. Of course, it was the passenger's side. We have been to Albuquerque many times and I can honestly say, I don't care if I ever go back again. I am very disappointed.

We stayed just one night to catch the last day of the Balloon Festival. Desk clerk was welcoming and helpful. Our room was dark and didn’t smell very fresh. There were stains on the carpet. Bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen..the door almost touched the toilet when it closed! The best thing about the hotel was the free shuttle to the Balloon Festival Park. They shuttled for several hours for the morning and evening liftoffs. Only took about 10 minutes to the park from the hotel. The driver was very helpful and personable. I am happy to see they are undergoing renovation. The hotel needs upgrading and overall cleaning.

Hi Keoweecruiser, Thank your for your candid feedback. I'm glad to know that you were able to take advantage of the free shuttle service and that the driver was accommodating. However, I am sorry to learn that there were some disappointing aspects with your stay, particularly with the bathroom space and the upkeep of your room. We take all reviews positive and negative very seriously, and your feedback will help us improve for our next guest or your next visit. Again, thank you for your comments and I hope in the future you give us another opportunity to hosting you. Sincerely, Dhang R Case Manager IHGCare

This HIE location is just 5 minutes from the Balloon Museum. What an amazing museum and the super friendly museum staff were extremely knowledge of Balloon history. We also enjoyed a visit to Loretta Chapel in Santa Fe. I have read many reviews of this HIE and I am happy to say that our stay was quite enjoyable. The Staff at the front desk were very courteous and proficient. The restaurant recommendations were spot on for the type of food we wanted to experience in this beautiful city. They are in the process of renovation of this older facility and it will be welcomed. The room we had was on the West side and was very comfortable (third floor). Our only complaint would be the smallness of the bathroom (tight squeeze in an out). Other than that, the other amenities were great.

Evidently housekeeping does not care or cannot communicate with "management". The shower curtain was so short compared to the high mounting of the support bar that it would not stay in the tub. The desk clerk tried to explain this and the fact that there was no soap in the bathroom by saying "We have a renovation going on." (Like i was too dense to notice all the contractor employee vehicles blocking half the front drive,) When i asked her if my room had been newly renovated, she said "No", so she had just been making up the excuse. At breakfast, the oatmeal was VERY runny, almost loke an oat broth. Not only that there was no salsa for the eggs, just Tabasco and Cholula. Other HIEs usually have squeeze packets of actual salsa. In Albuquerque, some actually have green chile. Not only that, but the receipt was not delivered to the room as is usually the case at a HIE, and that desk clerk seemed surprised I actually wanted the paper receipt, which was already printed and stashed in a drawer.

First I would like to apologize that our hotel did not meet you expectations at all. Your concerns about your room and our breakfast will be addressed with the rest of our staff and will be remedied. I understand and sympathize with the frustrations you encountered in your guest restroom you are not alone when it comes to the dissatisfaction of the bathroom. We hope that with this new remodel and all the new upgrades will change things. We hope that you will give us another chance in the future once this remodel is done to show you this bad experience was an exception.
