Cool, updated motel with a laid back vibe. Our room was immaculate, the grounds were amazing and the tap room and food court are icing on the cake. There were all age groups there and everyone seemed to like it as much as we did. Didn't see any families with small children. Not sure the rooms are big enough for that. We had a king suite, which was perfect for us. The fridge was cold, which never happens in a hotel room. The only thing that I wish we had but didn't was a microwave. Not a deal breaker but would have liked oneThe manager and her staff were all friendly and made sure you were happy with your sta We had stayed in 5 chain hotels the prevous nights, with no sleep. Slept like a baby here. (there is a little street noise until about 10) We will be back when traveling back through. Stay here, you won't regret it!

The grounds were amazing and it was a very relaxing stay. Perfect location and close to everything. The hotel is hip and has a cool vibe. The room was good and comfortable but a little smaller than a typical hotel room which for the grounds was a fair trade-off. They weren't staffed as well as I would have preferred and you may have to wait if you need help, like I did finding a laundry bag. Overall, it is great and with better staffing, it would be amazing.

El Vado was a great spot to stay for a night on our drive from Tucson heading back to Chicago. The food court was especially fun for dinner, loved the vibe. The staff we met were all very friendly and helpful!

The decor is delightful. The walls are so thick, it felt like we had the place to ourselves; but El Vado was, in fact, fully occupied. The motel is very secure. No one can access the interior, where the doors to the rooms are located, unless they are registered guests. It was clean, and the management and staff were outgoing and friendly. Some of the courtyard restaurants are closed (Covid), but the tap room was open and delightful. Our double-queen room had a refrigerator. Thumbs up, as we weren’t certain it would. The room did need better lighting. As a seasoned traveler, I keep a bedside lamp packed in my suitcase. You might want to do the same, if you prefer reading to television. One word of caution ... there is a step down, that isn’t well-marked outside the tap room. My fiancé missed that step. Fortunately, only small abrasions and bruising seem to have resulted. We would, yes, stay here again.

Hello JJRuchotzke, We are so happy to hear your stay was a delightful one. I do love the double queen room you stayed in, They are very roomy. I am sorry to hear about your fiance having a miss step on the patio. Maybe you both can come see us again and spend a little extra time relaxing around the pool when it opens. We do hope you come and see us again very soon. Please be well. Kerissa Dakini

Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Clean rooms, nicely redecorated. No refrigerator or microwave in king room. Only negative is comment is both my husband and I keep bumping our shins on the from kegs of the bed which were hidden under the comforter.
