The sink would not drain, the sliding door was not installed correctly and could not be opened, so we couldn't access the drawers. There was a fire alarm late at night due to a small torch being used on a creme brulle' and the entire hotel was evacuated. But worst of all the hotel is understaffed and existing staff was unprofessional and not courteous (with the exception of valet/bellman who was nice). All restaurants, bars and shops were closed during our stay. The place is beautiful but not ready for visitors, especially at these prices. We had high hopes but were really disappointed.
This is a very nice, new hotel at the edge of Old Town. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately our TV did not work properly and the tech they sent up couldn't figure out what to do about it. They said they were going to call someone to come and fix it. That never happened so, for 4 nights, we had very little TV. This is no cheap motel. The staff are friendly and it's a very pretty place but for almost $300/night, we should have a working TV. Also, as a petite woman, I have to say the bathroom is a nightmare. The vanity is built up very high and the sink is on top of the vanity, not set down into it. So for me to reach over the vanity and over the sink was a big problem. Probably no big deal for "normal size" person, but not great for me. BUT, if every in ABQ again, we would probably stay there. RIght across the street from Sawmill, a repurpsed sawmill with tons of really yummy food and a short walk to Old Town. Lovely bar/restaurant on the 5th floor but always too packed to get into…
Extremely calming respite with modern comfort in the room and throughout the property. Outdoor spaces are lovely and peaceful. Terrific views from rooftop restaurant and bar; perfect at sunset. Fun to go across the street to the Sawmill Market food hall.
This is a lovely hotel - beautiful rooms and nice amenities, great rooftop bar/restaurant for viewing sunsets, and handy location to Old Town shops and restaurants. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. However...they are some communication disconnects if you're used to having food and libations available early morning or other less mainstream times like mid-afternoon on a Sunday. There is no paper guest guide in your room - you'll be directed to the hotel website that has some navigation issues. Like, where is the room service menu? Only if you know where to find the PDF (!) on one of the restaurants' pages, it's the only way you'll get breakfast (beyond coffee and a pre-wrapped pastry) in the hotel. Same with Sunday afternoons - get back to your hotel after 1 p.m. on Sunday - you're out of luck for anything to take to the pool until after 4. The company that owns the hotel also owns the Sawmill Market across the street and that is the default food service for the hotel. BUT they open at 8 a.m. (so if you're going on that e-bike tour at 8:30, you're rushing for food) and on a weekend afternoon you'll find yourself waiting in lines and scouting seats. So not really ideal.…
We had not planned to stay at this hotel but after staying at another Heritage Hotel it was top on our list when we found that our return flight home was canceled. I booked online very early since the reservation center was not open at that hour in the morning. (5 am) I had remembered seeing the hotel previewed on the heritage channel during our stay at The Inn and Spa at Loretto earlier that week. Once we obtained our rental car and had some coffee we contacted the hotel and asked if we could drop off our luggage since there were a lot of alerts about car break ins at a lot of tourist locations. We were told that we could absolutely do that and to come right over. The valet attendant James took care of our luggage quickly and efficiently. We returned to the hotel around 2 pm to see if we would be able to check in early. Sarah at the desk was very kind and welcoming while briefly listening to our plight. She got us checked in early with swiftness and efficiency. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable with every convenience we would need. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming even the hotel security Michelle who brushed the snow off our rental. Absolutely loved this hotel and can't wait to go back.…
Group of 5 adults. We had two rooms. Each room had a narrow comfortable outdoor balcony. Spacious room with two queen beds. Very comfortable room. Modern simplistic design. No proof of vaccination or masks required. Pleasant front desk staff. Upon check out was told about a resort fee of $30. Plenty of vehicle parking. Luggage assistance available. Elevators available. Very clean appearance. When we complained the fee was removed. We did not use any of the hotel services such as pool or fitness center. About 10-15 minute drive to the airport.
We were only in Albuquerque for one night and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chaco. It has a modern Southwest vibe that we really enjoyed and the staff were very friendly. The location is great, adjacent to the Sawmill District and a short walk to the Old Town plaza. The outdoor area was a relaxing place to sit in the afternoon and the rooftop bar was a great place to get a drink.
My stay at Hotel Chaco was one of the most restful stays. The warm furnishings with rustic wood and artifacts made it feel enchanted. The service was impeccable along with the room and food. I’m a gym nut so loved the clean and up to date equipment. Spectacular views from all sides. Area was safe and lots to see and do !
Loved the whole New Mexico feeling from the coloring of our room to the lobby artwork. There is even an art gallery here. The lobby has such comfortable furniture and we just hung out with our friends downstairs. Beautiful views can be seen from Level 5. Have a drink upstairs if weather permits. We had an excellent breakfast there. In fact, all of the food was really good. The hotel is in a great location for touring. You can easily walk to the Old Town. In addition, the Saw Mill Market is next door with more food options.
This hotel is absolutely amazing from the rooms to the wine tasting. We were able to have dinner on the rooftop which was heated and overlooking the entire city. The service was top notch and were extremely pleased with the quality and presentation of the food. We accidentally booked the wrong date for our trip but the front desk attendant Sarah was kind enough to accommodate us which blew us away. The room was immaculate and the balcony views were breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.
