Everything was good. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Walking distance to restaurants. This one of our stops on Route 66 while traveling from Cincinnati to Grand Canyon. Three hour drive to Petrified National Forest, then three more hours to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I would stay here again and recommend to others. Thanks for a delicious breakfast,... More

I had a great time staying in their Spy House where you sleep with the ghosts of cold war spies. The rooms are well decorated, the bathroom was great, and the food was delicious. Kara makes delicious breakfasts and gave great suggestions for places to go.

The term "Bed and Breakfast" falls far short of describing a stay at the Downtown Historic B&B. While the beds are amazingly comfortable and the breakfast equally enriching and wonderful, that's just the beginning of the amenities that make this place so spectacular. Kara and Steve along and with their children graciously provide a true home away from home for... More

Check in process was clear and easy. Room had lots of personality and was comfortable as well. Great amenities, including robes! Loved the historic feeling and atmosphere. Hostess was fabulous, breakfast was also delicious. Easy to find, very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.

The Downtown Historic B&B is very quaint. There are a couple of houses and we stayed in the Spy House. We weren't aware of the historical significance until the following day. We stayed in the Greenberg room which is where the atomic secrets were traded. We loved the room. My husband wasn't thrilled with the separate bathroom, but this might... More

Thank you so much for choosing us for your stay. You are correct the Greenglass room is a private bath but not in the room. We do try to communicate this to our guests ahead of time and are sorry this was not communicated to you. This room is the actual room the Spy Secrets were sold out of and... More

My husband and I have stayed with Steve and Kara several times and I was traveling alone and on my way to Santa Fe missing the last train to the City Different. I frantically called the Inn and asked if they had a room for the night and Steve came to my rescue picking me up at the train depot.... More

We stayed in the Cabinet House which was very big. A full compliment kitchen with complimentary beverages and snacks. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Steve and Kara- Inn keepers were so very nice. it is so convenient to various attractions in Albuquerque. They work hard to earn the # 1 rating they have and certainly deserve it. We find the... Steve and Kara Grant should be given a medal for buying and restoring these historic buildings just east of Albuquerque's downtown. The "Spy House" located at 209 High Street NE is called as such because it was were David Greenglass drew a picture of the top secret triggering mechanism being designed and built in Los Alamos for the world's first...
