Another late review. They take this pandemic very seriously! So please prepare to wear your mask and sanitize everything that you've touched and about to touch. We picked this hotel after the West Virginia trip. We thought the location is close to Hubby's friend but then realized his friend lives on the other side of the town. The location is right on the border of Maryland and very close to Virginia. Although the location is quite isolated, the hotel itself is nice, modern, and elegant. The restaurant and lounge in the lobby are temporarily closed. Unfortunately and the sad part is that this hotel doesn't have a swimming pool! Something that I always look forward to is swimming, but the front desk staff told me they removed the pool. Why? The gym has better machines compared to most hotels. The machine says "Green" so let's check that out. I checked and the price is more than 5K per machine, so ok, forget about buying one for myself. We saw one or two guests. It was so quiet. Next to the hotel is a golf club and that club had many attendees. The room includes pretty much everything such as a fridge, safety box, tv, coffee maker (keurig!), comfortable bed and couch, and a clean bathroom. Very nice!…
I went to a convention at the Gaylord Convention Center. I booked late so the closer hotels were full or out of my price range. All in all, the Harborside was a great choice. The shuttle was a wonderful aid, as long as there wasn’t traffic. There was never a problem about access. The room was great. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The only disappointment was the food. I appreciated the complimentary daily breakfast. I just wish it was better. It was boring and typically mediocre. We also tried the restaurant. The menu looked fabulous but it did not taste fabulous and the service was horrible.
The room was clean and up to date. No problem checking in. The special consisted of sparkling wine and chocolates with a check out time of 2pm. All these things were there and honored. The food at the hotel was nothing to write home about. I would recommend eating elsewhere unless it's convenient to eat onsite. Food wasn't horrible, but the kitchen could up their game some. Breakfast as well. No view to get excited about, unless you like to watch speeding cars on the highway or looking at the Top Golf establishment. Great price for the special and would visit Harborside hotel again.
Harborside Hotel provided us a wonder experience. Miguel at Harborside Hotel was welcoming, flexible and all around a great guy! After a horrible experience at the Westin, the vibe was do much better here! Many thanks to Miguel at the front de sk!
I came briefly for a conference. Upon arrival I asked If there was a lactation room available and or a separate room that I would be able to use to pump; hoping that they would allow me to pop into one of the vacant rooms for 20 mins at a time at least twice. The woman at the desk frowned in disgust and told me to use the bathroom. Now, I'm not sure how many people eat their meals in a restroom, but most people don't eat where they you know what. Desperate times call for desperate measures . In an attempt to save my milk, I then asked if I could store it in their refrigerator. I was met with the same look of disgust and frustration, despite my milk being in a secure container and bag. Eventually they allowed me the courtesy, but made sure that I knew it was an inconvenience for them and that they weren't too happy about. While I was extremely thankful that they eventually said yes.. the treatment leading up to, wasn't very welcoming or customer oriented.…
