Checked in on Friday, manager saw I was in line waiting and stopped her job to help me. She was very friendly as is all the staff here we found out. Great room, nice view and fantastic beds. Rooms are extremely quiet. Had a beer in the lounge/bar, good selection of beers, wine and mixed drinks. Tried a couple of appitizers,... More

Before writing, I perused the reviews of many others. In summary, most offered reasonable observations that I hope Marriott and the owners of the University Park Marriott (I understand it is franchise operation) will take seriously and remedy. I have been a regular at the hotel for more than 20 years and plan to return there whenever I am in... More

This hotel is situated outside the city on the University Park. The location is quiet and open. The Botanical Garden is just 10 minutes walking up the hill and very worthwhile to go there for 4 hours or more. Lots of nature is very well taken care of. A shuttle bus will take you to several restaurants within a range... More

Was upgraded to a JR suite on the third floor which was plenty big. The staff is great and the hotel was very clean and nicely updated. The concierge lounge was also nice as were their fitness facilities. The location is away enough from downtown where parking and getting in & out aren't difficult but still close to many dining... Except for a relatively small room, everything about this hotel was pleasant and welcoming. Great views, numerous places in lobby to sit and congregate, nice breakfast menu, friendly service, decent workout room. Also a nice garden/outdoor area. Close to museums, University, etc

This is perfect location if you have a need to visit the University of Utah. It feels fairly small with one or two people at the registration desk. I checked in easily and they were super helpful helping me find a nail salon as I was checking in. They have a free shuttle service that took me to and from... More

It was a beautiful, very clean hotel with very comfortable beds. However, the restaurant was very expensive so we had to eat elsewhere. A little out of the way, but very close to the zoo. I would love to stay again now that we've seen the area and can find it and area restaurants easier.

One night stay after flying in late to Salt Lake City. Very clean and well appointed lobby and room. Water available (cucumber and lemon) in the lobby at all hours. Staff was courteous at check in and check out. Bed was VERY comfortable. Beautiful Chihuly glass sculpture in lobby.

I stayed here for the first time with my wife and our son for two nights. The hotel is new, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our room had beautiful views of the State Capitol and Salt Lake Valley. The beds (two queens) were very comfortable and our room was immaculately clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside... More

I have to say I was a little disappointed for my stay at a Marriott. It actually felt more like a stay at one of their sister hotels such as the Fairfield or other. Nothing bad, just not the level of their Namesake. The hotel itself is showing its age in spots. The first thing I noticed is we were... More
