I stayed at Inn on The Hill with my son while attending the Sundance Film Festival. The Inn was a fabulous choice. The staff was so welcoming. Particularly Summer and Josie. The breakfast was delicious and all the rooms exquisite. We stayed in the Topaz Mountain room because we needed two beds. It was nice but not s elegant as the rooms that had views and/or balconies. Would love to stay again in one of the other rooms. With that said, our room was really spacious and the separation between the beds was appreciated. Highly recommend The Inn on the Hill
We stayed in the Carriage House for a couple of nights. Very beautifully preserved historical home that is very private. Amenities include a fireplace, extra-large jetted tub, cable TV & kitchenette. Everything was clean, in good repair, and well stocked. We love this place so much, we usually stay here twice a year when visiting Salt Lake City. It's within walking distance of Temple Square and several other downtown locations. FYI - this room is not wheelchair accessible.
This historic home offers beautiful accommodations and views of Salt Lake City. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well prepared and delicious. Our stay was for only one day and we'd like to go back for a longer stay someday.
We stayed in the Wasatch Room. The Inn is very centrally located (just up the hill from downtown, and very near the capitol), and easy to get to. Arrived around 4PM, check in was easy. The Wasatch room has a semi-private balcony (shared with one other room on the second floor) that has an outstanding view of downtown and the mountains looking west. The room is decorated tastefully, with a queen-size bed (very comfortable), with a small-ish TV, chest of drawers, good-sized bathroom (with Jacuzzi bathtub/shower). Note: the sink/counter in the bathroom is pretty high...I'm 5'7", and it was a bit uncomfortable to use - not impossible, just unusual. Breakfast in the morning is very good - not your typical B&B fare. You tell them when you want breakfast, what you want, and it was ready! All around excellent experience for a one-night stay. We will certainly stay there again if/when we come back through SLC. One other note: try Arlo Restaurant for dinner - just around the corner (about 0.2 miles) - get a reservation! The food there was absolutely outstanding!…
Best night's sleep I ever had. We stayed in the Escalante room. While it was a queen size bed, I was surprised how incredibly comfortable this bed was, like sleeping on a cloud. The room was so quiet and had a beautiful view of the capitol dome. the Inn is spotless and lovely. Every room is breathtaking. The breakfasts were delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. We had no issues with the many stairs to the Inn and to the top floors. We walked to downtown SLC and to the Capitol as both are nearby. Spectacular property. Thank you to Summer and Angel wonderful women.
The room was elegant and well-appointed, with a great view. Breakfast was excellent with many attractive options. The house itself was a feast for the eyes, with many interesting areas and details. Prepare to carry your suitcases upstairs.
I spent three nights at the Inn with my travelling companion before we drove North to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The Mansion itself is well-kept and obviously well-loved. The breakfast selection was varied and the quality of the food was excellent. There were fridges with bottles of water and soft drinks as well as snack baskets on each floor of the Mansion. We felt completely at home. The location is convenient to downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods offer good dining selections. (We really enjoyed the Arlo Restaurant.) We stayed in Topaz Mountain, which is on the third floor. It is a great room for two women travelling together as there is a separate space with a daybed in it. As the room is on the top floor, it is under the eaves of the roof and the ceiling above the king bed is slanted. I am 5'7" inches tall and found that I had to be careful to stoop a bit when walking near the sides of the bed. Also, bear in mind that there is no elevator. There are two parking areas, the lower one and an upper one. The upper one is on the street behind the Inn, and is the one we used as it brings you in to the main floor and eliminates one flight of stairs. As it was, we did have to carry our bags up two flights to get to our room. (The young woman who checked us in did help us.) I would absolutely recommend this Inn!…
We stayed one night at the end of our Utah national parks trip and it was perfect. We stayed in Arches, which had access to the Inn but also it’s own entrance. It also had a jetted tub. Breakfast was delicious. Location is great - very close to the Capitol and close to temple square, shopping, etc. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at Inn on the Hill. The jetted tub was amazing, the host was so kind and made us feel comfortable the second we walked in the door, the breakfast was delicious, and they had complimentary snacks and drinks all over the mansion. They had a good movie selection, as well as a pool room that is open to use. We just loved the style and the decorating, it all felt very authentic and just charming! We will be coming back to try the other rooms for sure.
We really enjoyed our stay at Inn on the Hill. It is a beautiful building which is very well kept and our room was comfortable and had great views over Salt Lake City. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
